Well this certainly sucks. There should absolutley be neutral officials down the line. If they can't resolve this, what the hell are they gonna do about the semis?

Abraham shouldnt need ref for decision anyway,if abraham does win,its not by decision,its clearly going to be ko/tko/stoppage,i do suppose they will try rob him that way still though!.

He probably fears the refs decision on any possible cuts.

Oh the irony! A German promoter, known for shady hometown decisions, gets some of his own medicine.

The term "neutral official" alone is symptomatic for everything that ist wrong in the boxing world today.

this is why you don't let people cal shots in a tourny. Bad enough Ward had all his fghts at home. The Super 6 people shouldve had all this **** inline before the toury started. Every fight shouldv had th same rules. Thy will know next time.

This is disgraceful. Of course there should be neutral officials and everybody in the industry knows that Sauerland wont send in another fighter with hometown officials.

Since there already has been an agreement (according to Sauerland), why is this even an issue???

The referee was supposed to be from a neutral country according to the agreement, but it turned out to be the crooked Jack Reiss, who allowed Ward to hit while holding, hit off the break and headbutt as much as he wanted. Reiss kept admonishing Kessler for nothing, to try to confuse and distract him. Kessler should have won by DQ because that last headbutt by Ward that ended the fight was BLATANTLY deliberate.

And in Ward's fights with Bika and Green, the ref clearly favored him. The ref would warn Bika for any fouls, but he permitted Ward to hold and headbutt as much as he wanted.

It's too late to change what happened in those fights, but Sauerland should learn from that and STAND HIS GROUND this time.

As far as the Kessler fight goes I reckon Goosen got the better of Sauerland when negotiating the officials. Goosen managed to drag out the negotiations so that the situation was unresolved a couple of days before fightnight etc.

To cut through the chase Sauerland agreed on the officials which is a decision he surely regrets today.
