Comments Thread For: Khan Tells Zab Judah: Make Sure You Hold Your IBF Title!

WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KOs) has his sights set on Zab Judah's IBF belt. Khan wants to unify the division, belt by belt. He hopes to finalize a deal to face WBC/WBO champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KOs) on July 23rd. However, recent reports on BoxingScene.com suggest the fight is in jeopardy over money, with Bradley being unhappy with the financial package being offered for the fight.

I've said since Judah came back down to 140. Judah would beat Khan. All Khan really has is that speed. Judah is almost just as fast but with power behind his punches. I think he would knock Khan out.

Khan better hold on to that belt though! Timmay is comin'!

khan worry about making a deal with BRADLEY.

i am tired of this kid trying to jip fighters out on the money end.

almost every fighter he's fought (or was set to fight) have complained about team khan being cheap. even ariza threatend team khan over money (them not wanting to pay his working FEE) its sad when NONE fighters are after you about money.

      its getting out of hand........

Amir Khan will price himself out of a Judah fight so fast it's not even worth analyzing the potential result.

Khan is guaranteed 1.25m per fight with Golden Boy and HBO.

Bradley has been offered 1.2m by HBO.

Bradley feels he is worth more, and wants more. The only problem is that he isn't a draw, and his last fight against Alexander was a costly failure. HBO probably won't budge, and nor should they.

Bradley is free to demand what he wants, and isn't obliged to sign for any fight. But if the fight falls through, Khan shouldn't be blamed or labelled a ducker, when it's Bradley making all the demands.

Again the hypocrisy on this board is astounding. Khan was labelled as a ducker before he took a paycut to fight Maidana, yet Bradley is given a pass. Disgrace.

If Amir beats Bradley (and I think that fight will be negotiated), I'd love to see Khan-Judah and with Amir getting a chance at holding all 4.

And Khan-Judah is a really exciting fight for me just on their styles.

This would be a much better move than rushing up to 147 straight away. I want to see AK develop at 140 a while longer.

timba, I am a Khan fan too but lets get real here. Amir Khan is not the problem with the way his negotiations turn out. Team Khan constantly get accused of low balling and messing up negotiations . Maidana FORCED HIS MANDATORY RIGHTS to get his deal forcing purse bids. The pay cut line you are trying to drop is BS Khan had no option once purse bids were sanctioned . When negotiations with Team Khan failed after Team Khan accused Maidana of pricing himself out of a fight Maidana was left no option other than to take legal action to force purse bids.
You also seem to forget GBP tied up Maidana for ages into not being able to force a mandatory.

Would be nice for 140 to have an undisputed champ, and it might be a possibility if the organisation bodies doesn't strip any of the champions before fights, At the moment this can happen if the Khan-Bradley winner fights the JMM-Judah winner.
