To completely count out a fighter like Marquez is almost a ****in crime.
Bro, about your bets: 1. Nice call on Ortiz over Berto; 2. Knicks over Celtics?? I'm a Knicks fan, but...yeesh....; 3. Shane over Manny? Mmmmm...not for me, brotha. But I can see the rationale, with the odds.

Yep I agree. The real dent for Marquez is his loss against Floyd but that was partly due to the weight he had to put on.

No the dent is not having a career defining win. Like barrera did with hamed and morales. Or morales over pac. Also that loss to john.

The loss to John is debatable. The **** was real close. Hard to call. Also one could argue that he had a split with pac.

When history looks back, JMM's rank among Mexico ATG is gonna go up like Larry Holmes ranking went up in the HW.

thats the only problem with Marquez's career, his losses were real close fights and debatable. Only Real lopsided loss was to Floyd Mayweather, and that fight was a joke to begin with since Marquez wasn't a proven welterweight and the advantage Floyd had with the extra pounds he came in with during the weigh in. Marquez's resume is not that bad but imo he needs atleast one more good career defining win to rank up even more higher. Still, either way he has already established his legacy regardless.

Yea i think he is in the top 20 but people wont consider him better than morales or barrera bc he is lacking that one great win. But his career aint over and he could still make his case by fighting judah and getting that fourth tittle. And if he wins he could unify with the winner of bradley khan and if he would win that would be a hell of a resume especially at his age and to me i would consider him better than the other two but thats just me. But knowing marquez he will take pac

yea I agree, I think he should fight Judah and the winner of Khan vs Bradley.

His age is starting to catch up with him, but still pulls off a great performance everytime.

He is one of my favorite boxers and his combinations are insane but he makes some dumb ass decisions. Like taking the john fight instead of pac. And also passing up the morales fight recently. And now this he has a chance to make history in a winnable fight against judah or a third fight with pac where he will get a big paycheck but unfortunally loose.
