    Canelo=Juanma

Does anyone else see Canelo as a ko waiting to happen? I like his power and fighting style like I do Juanma's but i think when he steps up to a puncher around his size he gets stopped. I still think both Juanma and Canelo will have solid careers but will never live up to the hype.

You could be right, IDK. That shot that hurt Canelo from Cotto was a picture perfect shot though.

I think time will tell on Canelo, it's too early to bury him or make him out to be the next Salvador Sanchez.

I just see him as a flashy puncher with too little defense and not enough chin. I like watching Juanmas and Canelo's fights and would pick them both to win against most but the Puerto Rican and Mexican fan bases both have overhyped these guys to be super prospects that they arent.

I think Canello's chin is much better than Juanma's.

Like I said you could be right but Canelo is 20 years old. It's not really his fault that Golden Boy is pumping him up the way they are right now. He's a good looking kid, has the potential to be a big time money maker, so they are trying to ride this kid to the top.

I think he has a lot to learn and is still young, that's why I don't want to say he's limited just yet. He has a long way to go.

As far as JuanMa, I think your being too hard on your boy. If he can learn to be more of a boxer, he can be back on top. His style of standing and trading doesn't go well with his chin.

If he chose to box Salido, he might still be champ but he wants to be the tough guy and knock people out everytime.

Im not being hard on him im being real about it. I root for PR boxers all the time but it doesnt blind me to what i see go down in and outside the ring. I agree that Juanma might have been able to outbox Salido and still be champ but that gameplan should have been in effect before the fight took place. A truly elite fighter beats a tough veteran like Salido even if its not pretty.

They are both Hyped up fighters Canelo a little more then Juanma because Juanma at least has real KO Power. Canelo not that good I bit nobody would care about him if he wasnt ginger. Juanma has a really good resume beating Ponce Deleon and Penosa who has Canelo beat ????

                    me too

juanma's chin was always up there and chillin over his front toe

                    canelo's chin is tucked
and he looks to take a tremendous shot for a 19 year old

the guy gets hit all the time and rarely wobbles
and he's only going to get more durable as he ages unless he starts to pile on miles prematurely (which he will if he fights punchers)

they gotta keep him away from a suble jr mw puncher with a good chin who can go rounds
and a pure cutie / speedster

and they will, at least for now
