Jean Michel-Basquiat wasn't gay...also he was Haitian...I think the GBLT Afro association might need a geography and history lesson!

Why do blacks got to make vids of famous gay blacks to feel proud? I never seen a youtube vid filled with famous gay pinoys to make them feel good lol.

Nice vid though I learned some things, didn't know Lincecum was half pinoy. Technically that means he is the most famous athlete of Filipino descent in the USA...Guarantee a slightly larger percentage of people know who Tim Lincecum is here than know who Pacquiao is.
Because they are Americans and America invented entertainment? If you make a video of famous Caucasians, it would trump over the blacks ten folds.

Here's the thing.........like the Pinoy-Americans on those vids....where which country in Africa would the black person represent? What country in Europe would the Caucasians represent? You can't.......they have no roots.

That is quite a small list for the 12th most populous country in the world (94 million). I think the global exposure and Philippines entering the information age on a global scale will lead to much more exposure and much more successful athletes coming from Philippines. They may indeed have Manny Pacquiao to thank for this. He is a true hero for his nation.

Most caucasian people in the United States are recent immigrants tracing back to the late 1800s/early 1900s...almost every Caucasian knows their ethnic heritage in the United States. What you said does apply to many African-Americans though, as they were brought here as a result of the slave trade. However, this makes for a very proud, rich and unique culture and even sub-cultures involving African-Americans.

Nonito Donaire is an American. Floyd Mayweather is an American. I am an American. Barack ***** is an American (if you don't listen to the nutjobs who think he is a Kenyan LOL).

Also your analogy really fails because you don't know what percent Spanish/Caucasian/Asian/Native Pacific islander you are as a Pinoy...shouldn't you have to split it up by what your genealogy is as well? You would if we adhere to your standards.
