By the way, Gamboa is no longer the IBF champ, he was stripped because of the weigh in rule of the IBF (same day of the fight weigh in, no more than 10 pounds over)

Gamboa had a guarnteed august date on hbo either august 6 or 13th. i tihnk the reason why it will be in sept. is to give rafa some more time to train since he got a scrap in june

This is not a bad match up and really the fans want to see the best match ups but fans have to understand, this is a buisness and as long as one's name sells they are going to keep giving him fights, and Marquez is not that bad, this match up is better than Marquez - Juanma II which they were going to give us had Juanma not been stopped by Salido, and it could be worse Gamboa could be fighting Bernabe Concepcion or someone like that.
