Outside of Floyd, Marquez 3 is the biggest fight for Manny. If Manny and his team thought he could just overwhelm Marquez why isn't Manny fighting Marquez instead of Mosley? Because they know Marquez dragged Manny through 24 rounds of hell and their not anxious to see him again.

Why doesn't Mayweather just take this easy fight then? That's easy $20-30 mil. A couple years ago, I would think this would be the case. Now, with the new generation of fighters and his inactivity. I don't think this is true any longer. FWIW, Whitaker was done by 35. I do understand the state of sports medicine may have pushed that 35 age abit further. However, I think many in this forum has been making certain presumptions that elite fighters (closing to the 33-35) are unbeatable. The truth is probably somewhere in between. The fight is a lot tougher as most here believer or otherwise the fight would have been easily been made.

If you wanna be a good spokesman for Manny you should meet with him and tell him not to say he will fight anyone at or around 150. Margarito comes in at or around the same weight as Martinez. Why not just say you knew Margarito was tainted but you think Martinez would smash Manny's ass? Their the same size. There is no excuse.

Q, remember that time when you said in a thread that you didn't mind Pac fighting Martinez at "150 below". So Manny should stop ducking Sergio and fight him at "150 below".

mosley is a pure business decision IMO.....the name itself will sell...but i have a hunch that pac vs JMM is next...if pac gets by SSM....

I was addressing this to the previous claim that Cotto would be EASILY annihilated by Mayweather. This is not about Manny. And besides, read my post again you will see that Manny would be included in my original post.

I don't know man. Cotto has tasted more leather in 2 fights than Mayweather has in his whole career. I watched old fights of Floyd/Shane/Pac/Margarito/Cotto and honestly.... Cotto was the weaker of them. Miguel got hit by everything with ease. Cotto earned my respect because he is all fight and class but honestly, he was never on a Mayweather level. Doesn't mean that I didn't want to see the fight when both was undefeated but Floyd fought more sound fighters than Cotto technically. Take away Cotto's punch and he was there to be hit all day. 2nd half of Mosley fight proved it and then Margarito closed the show. My opinion has always been Floyd was/is too accurate and defensive for Cotto. Would have been a cross between Phillip Ndou/Arturo Gatti if they ever fought. Wish the fight happened though but I blame it more on Arum then Cotto and Floyd.
