The point about it is, Manny should haven't been fighting none of them (as you say), and during this time neither should Floyd.

The only opponent that Floyd should possibly still fight is Cotto and Martinez, and btw Pacquiao hasn't fought Martinez himself.

I don't know or care as to why the case keeps getting postponded. To answer a question that was asked in this thread. Most lawyers are never in a rush to go to trial if their client (PBF is this case) is on the street. Time isn't of the essence when people are free. When the client is locked up waiting to go to trial then lawyers usually trying to get that trial started so that whatever might happen can get cleared up.

legal matter is complicated...still negotiating over plea and looking over evidence. the key word is plea bargaining.
