Let me guess, Sanders didn't train at all for the fight because he was a part time golfer who fought once a year like most other fighters. Makes sense. I heard a couple of other boxers are good at basketball so they are part time basketball players.
Basketball >>>>>>>>>>>>> golf.....at least with basketball you're getting some cardio in. Any slow white dude with a beer-gut can play golf ffs :rolleyes9:
a HW version of B.Hop gets the job done imo....Vitali imo is the bro that can be outboxed...so a HW version of B.Hop beats Vitali IMO...Wlad has the better footwork of the bros and IMO the better skill set....IMO...NOONE in the HW division will EVER outbox Wlad...again, thats my OPINION!!!...Wlad loses to a Joe Frazie type of fighter....someone who is elusive enough to get inside and make him uncomfortable....someone who can take a good enough shot to get his 3 or 4 off on the inside...someone who is gonna make it rough for Wlad....IMO, that his poison....a master boxer for Vit...and a tough ass nails brawler for Wlad
This pretty much right here. You just can't let Wlad set the pace with his jab. If you press the action and can take a punch to land 2-3 of your own then you can wear him down and stop him.
I thik Adamek has a decent shot at taking on Vital because he does have pretty damn good boxing skils and a good chin.
But here I disagree. It wasn't "just an injury". I give Byrd 80%+ of the credit for making Vitali miss so often and therefore injuring his shoulder.
Those are fighting words.. provide the data for this, Sure Chris made him miss. Vitali is NOT the first slugger to miss against him....if you can provide evidence that he's made all the fighters who threw power shots at & hit nothing but air & then had a rotator cuff injury,,then I WILL acknowledge your post.
I keep it real.. chris did aid in the process as if Vitali was hitting him more consistently he wouldn't have had the severity & pain that his shoulder exhibited.. at best it's the opposite & Chris gets no more than 20% of the credit, Vitali obviously had this problem before he entered the ring that night.
He still won 8 of the 9 rds fought on two of the three judges sxcorecards with one judge giving Byrd 2 rds. So i could care less whether he made Vitali miss more often than not. Vitali outlanded him & most importantly landed the much harder shots when he did connect & had Byrd nervous & thinking Ike nightmares a couple of times when he was backed up on the ropes
War tank. With reinforced jab-proof armor. Seriously? Lateral movement and allot of power. The thing is, their jab is so powerful it only takes eating one to change your will to fight. I'm convinced every opponent plans something and ends up being an heavy bag until they finally drop and they don't realize they are playing into Klitschko's gameplan or if they do, they don't like the alternative. On TV you don't really see how powerful a jab from someone that big is. I give them allot of credit but I also have to say size plays an huge part on their success but obviously not all of it otherwise every big fighter would be a champ.
Excellent point.... in the past 7 or 8 years both brothers have been undefeated & time & time again.. once they taste that jab & how easily it lands on them..most of those fighters DON'T want to risk getting closer because they know they'll be hit with something in conjunction with the jab... they lunge in here & there hoping for a homerun but feel it's SAFER for them to just get hit with the jab.. than a monster right hand.... little do they know they are getting the life pounded out of them by NOT being aggressive.
They're ****ed either way... if they become aggressive they risk getting it with something big on the way in.... they stay outside they eventually get pummeled. Bottom line.... you have to have 3 components to spare yourself the least amount of danger vs. them & that's POWERxSPEEDxSIZE & BEING LEFTHANDED with an unorthodox fighting stance helps. So far ONLY Corrie Sanders has had that & he had both Klitschko's in trouble because he had a combination of all those things. Lennox had 2 of those components in abundance.. power & size..
Solis had the speed. David HAYE has what Corrie had.. power.& speed but is not a southpaw & is a small heavyweight. So yes out of what;s out there Haye is THE only one that has the power & the speed to give the brothers a bit of a challenge. Heavyweights with one of those components & one dimensional. just speed alone Or power without the speed get eaten alive. You goota have at least 2 dimensions in order to compete... if you have exceptional D.. you survive the beatdowns & southpaws last longer because they take longer to figure out.. IBRAGIMOV.. GOMEZ SANDERS CHAGAEV.. etc.
Wlad median weight (self) 236 lbs (all fights), (KOvictim) 233 lbs
Vitali median weight (self) 240 lbs (all fights), (KOvictim) 229 lbs
LeLe median weight (self) 233 lbs (all fights), (KOvictim) 227 lbs
J.Lo median weight (self) 200 lbs (all fights), (KOvictim) 193 lbs (within12)
Interesting so Wlad knocks out 4 more lbs of beef per stoppage. It's not a huge difference.. actually the haters would say that the less lbs the better shape you're in.. i don't necessarily subscribe to that but this statistic does show that Vitali's overall opponent average is no where near what the haters are babbling about. It's only recently where his opponents have packed on extra muscle as a stategic move to absorb his bombs for as long as they can... worked for Lennox & Corrie & to some extent Arreola as well as Briggs. So it's part of the strategy.
Just goes to show Vitali's overwhelming size & power advantage is all that is.
