What a one dimensional fighter is I don't know.

But I know what a FOUR DIMENSIONAL fighter is:

      Earnie Shavers

Here is what James Tillis said about Shaver:
"The baddest mother****er I fought was Earnie Shavers. That mother****er can make July into June and made me jump over the mother****in' moon. That mother****er hit so hard, he'll bring back tomorow."

      Talk about time travel!!!

I always found it entertaining when Holmes said that Shavers hit too hard to knock him out... I don't know if I believe all that, but I can't think of a punch that even comes close in terms of the power that Shavers hit Holmes with.

Fighters that can not adjust. They relay on a single tactic.

              1. Manny never figured out how to get out of the way of JMMs straight right, he just fought thru it but never adjusted to it.
              2. Manny when he kept getting caught by Clotteys uppercut, he never adjusted he just threw more punches.

It's all about adjusting, if you keep getting caught with the same punch, you're either low in basic boxing skills/smarts or ONE DIMENTIONAL.
Yeah and he won both fights!

A fighter with no Y or Z axis. e.g. Roy Jones after Glen Johnson transmogrified him into a horizontal line.

I hope and think this loss has motivated him into switching trainers and become more of a boxer. He has been close to getting KTFO plenty of times it was only a matter of when, not if

I think he'll be back on top in short time. A loss aint that bad, even if it was a stoppage. War JuanMa!

Like most here said, it is a fighter that only has 1 approach to fighting and fights every opponent the same. For example, Maidana is 1 dimensional. He lines you up and throws power punches. There is some real skill to doing that and competing at the level he is at- it takes heart, will, and seriously good timing. However, if this gameplan doesn't work, Maidana has no plan B. Where as a fighter like Sergio Martinez can actually present very different looks based on his opponents. Against a come forward volume puncher, he became a counter-puncher. Against a technical defensive boxer, he used his slickness, footwork, and jab to control his opponent.
