How did u get 154 from that article? He made it clear he doesn't want that fight, and no one even mentioned 154. I must have read it wrong...

Who said Cintron is gonna be Manny's next opponent? I didn't and neither did Roach.

My comments were in reference to a hypothetical fantasy match and to kinda co-sign the one poster who was saying Cintron isn't as bad as most claim he is.

With that said, I think the whole point of getting Cintron was for a potential Cotto all Puerto Rico showdown next summer. FWIW Cintron isn't even campaigning at WW.

Actually, I gathered that from the resident Top Rank employee in the thread, ThePrince. Check out his post.

Fight wouldn't be for another year and 1/2, meaning Manny will be older and add a couple of pounds naturally... this is what happens in Boxing, everyone knows that. He even looks bigger now than he has in the past, looks around 150 in recent pics. Just like he said he was going to go back/stay at 140 after DLH, he went back to 147 and dominated.

Same scenario. He'll be at 147 for his next 3 fights or so and then naturally go to JWW.

What do you think of ThePrince's comments about Manny fighting for 154 pound title next year against the winner of Cintron and Cotto?

Yea, Manny makes the final say-so.

Yea, and Cotto and/or Cintron will be older as well. In reality, there is really no point in a Manny versus Cotto II. I mean, come on. He wiped the dude out and in another year and a half Cotto (because he will beat Kermit) will be even further past his prime. But I guess alot of people are fine with Manny fighting guys like that.

If he goes to JWW, hopefully he fights Sergio. But with the risk involved, I don't see it happening.

Nov/Dec 2012....because he did say it could happen after Cotto vs Cintron.

                  1. By then Manny and Floyd would have fought and Pacquiao.

                  2. If either Cintron or Cotto emerge as the Top guy at 154...and there is no one at 147, why not? I don't see any other fights out there other than Martinez, and TBH I think it would be a smart move to take a setup fight at 154 before jumping into a Martinez bout.

FWIW It's kinda a moot point as Margarito will beat Cotto then proceed to **** Cintron again.

Yea, and Cotto would win and be that much older. Who wants to see Manny in another pointless rematch? Just being all the way straight up bro.

Why not? Come on man, its Cintron and Cotto bro. If he's going to fight there, he should fight Martinez.

If this happens, then I guess we will see a Manny-Tony rematch?
