What I'm interested in knowing is if Williams emerge as the top guy will people give Manny credit if he were to beat him at 154?
Not in two years time, when Martinez is 38, and Cotto is... even more shot than he is now. Oh, that's right, I forgot..... Martinez has already publicly stated that he will only take three more fights and then retire inside two years.
Yep, that would be a good time for Pac to go up and "clean-out" the division.
Manny can move up to 154 and "clean-out" the (Top Rank) division of Cotto, Marg, and Cintron..... and Shane is a TR boy now, he has fought at JMW before and will only be 42
Stop dreaming about Martinez, it will never happen
*** me, I can't get anyone to admit that the third best welter on the planet is the most qualified to fight Pac, and yet you're still dreaming about Martinez
At k-mart, in the toy dept, are the Manny dolls bigger than the Sergio dolls?
But seriously, you could be right about Williams, let's see what he's got left.

Great suggestion, and good post, although I would like to see Berto reaffirm himself first. I can accept that he had an off-night, and I can accept that he may have taken Ortiz a little lightly and under-estimated how effective Vic would be at 147..... but I would like to see him prove that first.
Clearly, Vic is a much better fighter at welter than he was at 140.

Yea, and Cotto and/or Cintron will be older as well. In reality, there is really no point in a Manny versus Cotto II. I mean, come on. He wiped the dude out and in another year and a half Cotto (because he will beat Kermit) will be even further past his prime. But I guess alot of people are fine with Manny fighting guys like that.
If he goes to JWW, hopefully he fights Sergio. But with the risk involved, I don't see it happening.

Hatton came off a win against Paullie before the fight with Pac.
Margo won against Garcia before the fight with Pac.
Cotto of course won against Clottey prior to Pacquiao match.
