I didn't watched the fight but when I learned that Juanma lost I was real happy. And yes I'm boriqua and better yet I'm from Caguas too. To me he was overrated. I'm going to be honest, the last good fighter that Puerto Rico will ever have is Cotto. Sadly boxing is dying in our country.
In pro boxing there are prospects who right now look better than Cotto did when he was starting. Unlike in 2002-2003 when we really looked dead, we have good fighters in most weight classes including Seda, Carlos Ivan Velasquez, Luis Cruz, the Arroyo's, Mantequilla Gonzalez who, if he is really as good as people make him to be, should be Cotto's next substitute.
Wait for Puerto Rico to stop accomplishing things in this sport if you want to say it really is dead.
PS. Red K given for being a moron.Comment

Idiotic post of the week. Youre not even boricua I bet. Last central american and Caribbean games we had 7 gold medalists, two years ago we had our second world gold medalist, and a year ago we had our first Youth Gold medalist, and thats just in amateur boxing.

I hope and think this loss has motivated him into switching trainers and become more of a boxer. He has been close to getting KTFO plenty of times it was only a matter of when, not if
I think he'll be back on top in short time. A loss aint that bad, even if it was a stoppage. War JuanMa!Comment

Former WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez is learning from the first loss of his career. He feels the loss will make him a much better fighter. Last weekend in Nayamon, Puerto Rico, Lopez was stopped in eight rounds by Orlando Salido of Mexico. The biggest problem for Juanma in the fight was a lack of speed. He told his corner that his hands felt slow and he couldn't get his legs going, but he's not sure why that happened.

LOL @ the Ricans red k'ing the other Rican for saying some truth to his comment.
To be honest, I don't really see a PR prospect as good as Cotto was when he was a prospect. I may be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.
Oh yea....don't give me this Negron crap either. Dude is 100x worse than Lopez.Comment
