The mosley fight is a stay busy fight and a cash grab, I'll let pac have this one. It was a money grab when floyd fought the old man ( a fight that should have happened 7 years before it finally did by the way ) and mosley haden't even stepped inside a boxing ring in OVER a year and half. People weren't crying then, I don't see why there crying now.

What people like to forget is floyds only fought one light weight ( jmm ), and old man shane in the past two years, that's got u fools all hard? I mean while pac's retired hatton at his REAL weight class by the way, destroyed cotto who just beat a very tuff clottey, turned clottey into an amature, and ****ed up a man floyd basicly turned around and ran from in margareato. Now he's fighting mosley, and while it's not the best fight HE'S THE ONLY ONE LEFT AT WELTER, except for chicken ****, pac has cleaned that division the **** out. Who was he supposed to sign to fight, berto? The same berto who couldn't sell out a pizza box and the same berto u fools are NOW calling a hype job, yeah that fight would have been "classic". Who else? Ortiz just had his coming out party last weekend, what was pac supposed to do, wait around till someone better then shane popped up?

In 2 years it stacks up like this, and I'll make it real simple for u. I'll take "Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Cheato, Mosley", over "Jmm, Mosley" any day of the week. Ud have to be ******ed or basically on ur knees with floyds penis in ur mouth to think any differently. One dudes doing it, the other guys talking about doing it.

To be fair, Margs was coming off a win in Mexico and Cotto was declared the winner of the Clottey fight.

Cotto won that fight, but going by your logic, he also beat clottey who according to u just beat cotto. Floyd beat....a light weight. "fail"

And Margarito wasn't coming off a ko loss to mosley, that was over a year before pac fought the dude and cheato had fought and won since then, and pac spotted the guy 3 more pounds so he didn't have to kill himself to make weight the way he did when he fought mosley. "fail"

I'd love to see floyd get in there with cheato, hell, I'd love to see floyd get in there against ANYONE who isn't small as **** or old as dirt. I guess floyd also "fails"

here are the facts regarding the margarito vs pacquiao fight.....

                  * that fight was for a vacant jmw title
                  * neither of the competitor's were a jmw
                  * that fight was held at catchweight
                  * one of the competitors could not even have beaten any of the top welter's
                  * neither of the competitors could have beaten any of the top jmw's

margarito was a slow, plodding, faded, shop-worn, mediocre, welterweight, bum, with no ko power, who could not have even beaten any of the top welterweight's, and who had just been ktfo by ol man mosley.

                  cotto.....

when pacquiao fought cotto, miguel had just been destroyed by margarito and then battered by clottey. every reputable trainer/reporter/analyst said that cotto looked shop-worn and well-faded, and that he had been in too many wars.

Cotto was not on top of his game, he had begun to slide, he had no trainer to speak of, and was struggling with problems both in camp and at home relating to a family matter that affected his relationship with head trainer evan cotto.

Miguel was not on top of his game, and he most certainly was not in his prime..... Plus, pacquiao tried to drain him on the scales.

Listen to this reporter's take on the subject, shortly after the clottey fight....

"i wasn’t exactly shocked to see manny pacquiao’s name being linked for a fight with miguel cotto after the puerto rican fighters disappointing performance last saturday night against joshua clottey. As bad as cotto looked in the fight, and believe me cotto looked pretty awful, it seemed like a no brainer that pacquiao would then select him as his next opponent.

But my question is why isn’t pacquiao going after shane mosley or paul williams instead? Why the emphasis at fighting cotto, when he was destroyed by antonio margarito last year? It seems to me the much better choice for pacquiao would be to go after mosley, since he beat margarito a few months ago by a 9th round tko.

Since margarito has already stopped cotto, the logical choice for pacquiao to fight would be mosley. That’s the bout that pacquiao should be going after unless he wants to be considered a cherry picker.
                  "

pacquiao saw that cotto was ripe, so he jumped on him, but even the fact that cotto had faded was not enough of an advantage for manny..... So he demanded a catch-weight of 145lbs.

A catch-weight, for a title fight..... *** me, that is lame.

Cotto of course, flatly refused. Miguel stated "147 if you want my title, but no-title if you need a catchweight". Of course, pac demanded a catchweight and the title, it became a sticking point to get the fight made, so cotto was forced to concede.

But even that was not enough for manny, he demanded 143, even though his trainer freddie roach agreed to 144. Luckily for miguel he stuck to his guns, or those cherry-picking ****s would have dragged him down to 143lbs.....
                  http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/275865

                  catch-weights.....

There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....

1.) you are not good enough to compete with your opponent at his natural weight

2.) you are attempting to drain your opponent to gain an unfair advantage

pacquiao tried to drain cotto, because manny had already fought at 147.

The 143lb demand was an absolute joke, they really tried to do a number on cotto. Just because the bullet missed, does not lessen the intent.
                  truth!!!!!!!!!!!

NO.......and I know that they both won fights...but its clearly obvious those dudes were not in GREAT shape to fight Manny....why fight Cotto after Clottey when Shane had just destroyed Margarito? SO you fight a guy who looks shopworn and on decline instead of fighting the WW champ Mosley at that time?

                      ok makes sense champ
