Alex Ariza should know that Pac ain't Floyd Mayweather Jr in regards to Mosley. Floyd was defensive, slipping punches and countering. Manny does not use defense as much as he moves while using his speed and out put to overwhelm his opponents. Stylistically, Pac's is better suited for Mosley than Mayweather's. This "mosley gassed" excuse is funny. I watched the fight and Mosley in the final and after the second was dog food because Floyd took his best, walked him down and made it impossible for Mosley to get off. I didn't see Mosley breathing heavy, I just saw Mosley getting beat up.

I just can't cosign this "Mosley got gassed" movement because in his fight with Cotto, Mosley had a problem breathing through his nose and only got stronger in the second part of the fight and made it a close and to some debatable fight. Even with Margarito Shane was getting stronger as the fight went on. With Mayorga, though a sloppy fight. Shane finished strong in the 12th round. Where are people getting "Mosley gets gassed out" from? Oh let me guess..... Because Floyd made him look like he couldn't go on. Gotcha.

Mosley was gassed like crazy!!! Hell, he was gassed in the second trying to close Mayweather. Easy explination, he was comming off back to back camps plus a 16 month lay-off. He had did seven weeks of training for Berto and then the earthquakes happend and then 3 weeks later he started training for Mayweather. Bottom line Shane was begging to be KO'd or at least dropped and Mayweather didn't have the balls to do it!!! But, if that same Mosley shows up against Pac, it's lights out!!! But, I think we will see a different Mosley not comming off the longest lay-off in his career and a back to back training camp or fighting a 6 foot middleweight (Mora) who likes to run and hold. However I still think my boy Sugar Shane is going down. Tough fight for me, I love both of them, they are true warriors and gentlemen, the best that boxing has to offer....

Alex Ariza is the most over-rated clown ever mentioned on this site.
Guys like him are a dime a dozen, he could be replaced in a heartbeat.
There are dozens of physical conditioning experts who are more qualified than he is.
Unless that is, there is more than just vitamins in his " special " milkshakes ?

But why would you pick an opponent that they feel will break down by the 5th round? What ever happened to challenging yourself? And when will the fans stop blaming Pac's picking of recent opponents on Mayweather? Mayweather said after the Mosley fight in plain english. If Pacquiao takes the test then we can make the fight happen for the fans. Pac has never agreed. If Pac really agreed that **** would be all over the news. Everytime they had a fight that's all they would talk about. Is how they agreed and Mayweather still wont fight. Pac knows he's inferior to Mayweather as well as Roach and as well as Arum who promoted Mayweather for a long time.

Cotto was a cracked egg, and ripe for the picking.
Cotto.....
When Pacquiao fought Cotto, Miguel had just been destroyed by Margarito and then battered by Clottey. EVERY reputable trainer/reporter/analyst said that Cotto looked shop-worn and well-faded, and that he had been in too many wars.
Cotto was not on top of his game, he had begun to slide, he had no trainer to speak of, and was struggling with problems both in camp and at home relating to a family matter that affected his relationship with head trainer Evan Cotto.
Miguel was not on top of his game, and he most certainly was not in his prime..... plus, Pacquiao tried to drain him on the scales.
Listen to this reporter's take on the subject, shortly after the Clottey fight....
"I wasn’t exactly shocked to see Manny Pacquiao’s name being linked for a fight with Miguel Cotto after the Puerto Rican fighters disappointing performance last Saturday night against Joshua Clottey. As bad as Cotto looked in the fight, and believe me Cotto looked pretty awful, it seemed like a no brainer that Pacquiao would then select him as his next opponent.
But my question is why isn’t Pacquiao going after Shane Mosley or Paul Williams instead? Why the emphasis at fighting Cotto, when he was destroyed by Antonio Margarito last year? It seems to me the much better choice for Pacquiao would be to go after Mosley, since he beat Margarito a few months ago by a 9th round TKO.
Since Margarito has already stopped Cotto, the logical choice for Pacquiao to fight would be Mosley. That’s the bout that Pacquiao should be going after unless he wants to be considered a cherry picker."
Pacquiao saw that Cotto was ripe, so he jumped on him, but even the fact that Cotto had faded was not enough of an advantage for Manny..... so he demanded a catch-weight of 145lbs.
A catch-weight, for a title fight..... *** me, that is lame.
Cotto of course, flatly refused. Miguel stated "147 if you want my title, but no-title if you need a catchweight". Of course, Pac demanded a catchweight and the title, it became a sticking point to get the fight made, so Cotto was forced to concede.
But even that was not enough for Manny, he demanded 143, even though his trainer Freddie Roach agreed to 144. Luckily for Miguel he stuck to his guns, or those cherry-picking ****s would have dragged him down to 143lbs.....

Catch-weights.....
There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....
1.) you are not good enough to compete with your opponent at his natural weight
2.) you are attempting to drain your opponent to gain an unfair advantage
Pacquiao tried to drain Cotto, because Manny had already fought at 147.
The 143lb demand was an absolute joke, they really tried to do a number on Cotto. Just because the bullet missed, does not lessen the intent.

fcking hell these *****s know f all about boxing. sweet mary they go on like a broken record. the fact pac fought and beat the guys floyd retired from the sport to avoid shows how far ahead pac is of him
end of the day you can make reasons for everything
hatton, floyd fighting him at 147 which hatton almost got k0d in before he fought mayweather
marquez, a 130/135 fighter at best fighting at 144/146
lets not forget oscar btw, coming off a huge layoff and a crappy tuneup which he looked ****e in
mosley coming off an 18 month lay off and coming in with a neck/back injuries into the fight
you know i would love to have seen floyd fight guys as good as barrera, morales and marquez while in a green state, the guy would have gotten his ass whooped left, right and centre
no wonder why he is ducking pac like the plague
