    Put a prime Sugar Ray & James Toney together you get Mayweather. PBF style beats Roid style in every category. I've been watching boxing for over 25 years & PBF is the best I've seen. Whitaker was better then Roid, Sugar Ray was better then Roid.

      [[[Notice in my post that I said he went after the man who is now the man. I didn't say Hatton was the man when Floyd first entered 140lbs. I simply said he went after Hatton.]]]
      =============

      No he didn't. Floyd don't even want to go to England now which is where the most money in his career is. What makes you think he wanted to go to England for less? What Floyd did do was get his feet wet in the division against contenders. I never saw him call out anyone but maybe that ridiculous challenge to Oscar and the more ridiculous challenge to Winky that he punked out on. Well, Floyd got brave, sort of, and after backing out finally made the Gatti fight and you guys creamed.

        PRIME vs. PRIME I think Jones:
        The reason I think this is simple. Jones was too athletic, too strong, and too powerful for Floyd. Floyd is a more complete fighter yes, but sooner or later Roy (NOT ROID) would tag Floyd with his patented lead left hook. Mayweather wouldn't have enough power to knock Roy out either.

            same ole

            an how u gonna say roy would tag him wit a lead left hook,,errybody says corrales is da most devestating puncher in boxing wen he fought floyd,,floyd the man u say ot no power floored his azz several times,,,now mayweathers ko's are by attrition,,,but roy wouldnt land solid cuz speed cancel out speed,,,and than u gotta go wit beta defense an the reflex of roy is defense but mayweathers defense isnt jus reflexes he's too more complete than roy on defense,,,errytime floyd fight a puncher they say he gonna get ko'd an always the oppoisite happen,,,,get off that power shyt ,,noone has touched floyds chin,,an if dey skimmed it he took it,,erry puncher floyds fought has gotten knocked out by floyd,,,gatti would have gotten stretched too if they let dat fight continue....lotta haters towards floyd before gatti fight alot of niccas said yea gatti got a chance he can do it,,,"""you can do it""",,,than when he dominated cuz floyd had said he was a paper champion people who said gatti was gonna win now said ohhhh floyd beat a paper champion so dat wasnt shyt,,,errytime he fight its gonna be the same till he loses,,,than these same fools who were 0 for 40 predicting mayweathers fights gonna say ,,,see i told u that guy was gonna beat him....

              lou duva was recorded on tape telling taylor to press on the final round. all taylor needed to do was hop on the bicycle and he would have won and if chavez got close just clinch. but his corner made it seem there was some sort of urgency and taylor obliged.

              and meldrick was not on his toes throughout the fight..there were spurts during the match where he just stood in front of chavez and did a 'give and take'. he was always known to be too much of a philly fighter for his own good.

              as far as roy we went up with 'technical' fighters such as a 29 year old bernard hopkins (who later became the middle weight king), the current pound for pound champ at the time with james toney, and ring great Mike Macallum...
