Sergio Martinez by UD.
Prime Dela Hoya VS Sergio "I Only Like Little Guys" Martinez

Martinez started at 147, where he fought 147 pounders. He then moved to 154 where he fought 154 pounders. He then moved up to 160 and beat a legit 160 pounder - who has fought as high as 170 - in Kelly Pavlik and a guy in Williams who could easily be campaigning at 168. So tell me, which middleweights is Martinez supposed to fight who would give him this "azz beating" you seem to be dreaming of? Or are you suggesting that he should move up a further division to 168, where he wouldn't be fighting guys his own size - he'd be fighting men like Bute and Froch, who are certainly bigger than him (this, incidentally, is what he'll probably end up doing anyway, as there don't seem to be any big fights for him below 168 lbs)we all know what would happen if sergio steps up with the big boys. Paul Williams was just like him when paul was at 147 when he shouldn't be. he stepped up then bam. if martinez fights guys his size and im talking about those guys who have been in that weight division for a while martinez would get what he's looking for. an azz beating!
oh i forgot about Kelly "left left straight" Pavlik. that dude has been long gone!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with Martinez moving down in weight to fight Pacquiao or Mayweather, who have both won titles at 154 lbs. The real question that needs to be asked is why is it fine for those guys to cherry pick titles at that weight, but not fight another top 5 p4p fighter in a bout the world would love to see? Margarito's not too big, De La Hoya's not too big, but Martinez is too big. Hello double standards.Comment

I don't think ANYBODY gives Sergio an "azz beating." Only thing I can really see happening to him is getting outboxed by Floyd.Martinez started at 147, where he fought 147 pounders. I don't think I need to tell you that Floyd is not likely to get in there with Martinez any time soon. lolComment

martinez would school oscar at 154 and probably stop him at 160 (sorry, 158 catchweight).
martinez "i only fight little guys"
gtfo!!!
lets not forget that de la hoya built his career fighting smaller guys (pretty much all his opponents were smaller except b-hop, sturm, vargas, and maybe tito).
martinez stepped up to middleweight and schooled pavlik and knocked out williams.
oscar looked like garbage in his 2 middleweight fights. most people thought he lost to sturm.Comment
