Pacquiao's rise through the weights is incredible, no doubt about that, but when you're looking at it from an all-time perspective, you have to consider what he did at each of those weights. Take lightweight for instance. He beat up David Diaz, by far the weakest belt holder in that division, a C-level fighter in general... and that's it. It's not like he cleared out any of these divisions. Is this more impressive than completely dominating a single division for over a decade? Maybe. Probably, even. I mean, for a guy who started at 108lbs to fight for a light middleweight title is pretty miraculous. But we'll only truly see just where Pacquiao stands all-time once he retires, especially if he fights Mayweather before doing so.
