It is easy to say if Robinson did it other guys did it as well but we are talking 100 wins with no losses man...no losses at all. That is virtually impossible to do which is why it has never happened since. I'm not saying Pac would not challenge him but when you really think about what Robinson accomplished, he is above the level of EVERYONE else....no debating it as far as I'm concerned.
Yes but for every SRR who had 100 wins, there were bums who had 100 losses as well.
SRR has done things Pac didnt do and Pac has done things SRR hasnt done as well. If you are showing favouritism towards what SRR has done you are probably a fan. I give Pac credit as i dont think SRR could deal with Pac victims like Pac did. I also think Pac could deal with SRR victims. That is the honest way i see it.
Seriously guys. The Pac fans are reaching cult status.
As for Robinson not KO'ing Hatton in 2, I guarantee that if ANY opponent rushed at me...even ME, never mind Robinson, with his hands rahter down and his chin up and exposed, like Hatton did, he would take the count. In fact i HAVE done it once or twice. One rarely gets, such an easy opportunity in a serious fight.
Another point about Robinson and that fact that some ordinary fighters went the distance with him. Robinson, on TV as I recall, was reminiscing with Rocky Graziano and Jake LaMotta, and another I can't remember, and the conversation got around to corruption, and "carrying" opponents.
One of Robinson's comments was that "I often used to have to fight 20 rds, ten for my oponent and 10 for me...." and this was heartily echoed by his companions who ALL said that they had to "carry" opponents many times. Don't forget, boxing was ruled by the Mafia and BIG ******** in those "palmy" days...........
So i wouldn't put too much store in anyone goig the distance with Robinson. I'm pretty sure, that he could pick the round, and almost the position in the ring, where he could stretch out an opponent.

Excellent points. Good post bro. SRR takes any opponent Manny has ever fought to the woodshed.

Don't be a ******. The majority of light welters wouldn't have put Hatton down in the first two rounds that night, so I'm pretty goddamn sure neither would you.
Pac would have beat SRL, SRL would probably tell you that as well. People told me that Pac couldnt beat DLH. When Pac was at 135 they said but if he moved up Hatton would have his number, let alone Cotto. But after beating Hatton, people were converted, and Cotto didnt stand a chance against Pac.
So you insinuating Pac couldnt beat SRL dont cut the mustard with me. Im insinuating that SRL wouldnt happen.
Yea, I'm sure SRL will tell you that, you're quite the comedian but don't quit your day job.
As for Pac beating DLH, people thought that because they didn't expect Pac to be inside the ring against the shell of a man. DLH, was weight drained, and dehydrated its been proven and even stated by your idol trainer Freddy Roach. Nice win but not really what it should have been if it were a healthy DLH even at his advanced age.
Look buddy, before you continue to embarrass yourself any further, I suggest that you go and try to watch as many fights of SRR as you possibly can, do some research, catch up on your boxing history,do something!!!
Then go and do some research on SRL as well because it seems that you have no fuc&ing clue which one is which and much less about boxing!
I'm not insinuating, I'm flat out telling you, Pacquiao would not beat Leonard, matter of fact he would more than likely get knocked out. You are painfully ****** if you believe otherwise! And as for Your comment on PAC vs DLH, nobody knew that a walking corpse version of DLH would show up weighing 143 on fight night with IV marks on his arms. If the version of DLH that even Floyd fought would have showed up that night then we wouldn't even be having this little discussion. Even worse if the Oscar that fought Chavez at 140 when he was in his prime then he KOs PAC.
You're talking about people saying that if PAC moved up from 135 to fight hatton that hatton would have his number? Well what people are you talking about because the only people I heard saying crap like that were the super annoying hatton fans that didn't know **** about boxing just like you with you're comments about SSR not doing to Hatton what PAC did!
Think about it, if Pac was fighting back then he would not have whatever technological benefits he has now. Not talking about the ****** roids thing but advances in training nor the assistance of Ariza's knowledge nor nutritional knowledge. He fights 2 times per year now as most major fighters do.
Fighting only 2 times a year allows your body to recover from the brutal beating you may take in the ring. Imagine Pac being asked to fight another legit fighter let's just say a month or less after his fight with Cotto....it took him almost what, 5 or 6 months to recover from that fight?

Sorry to tell you that you are wrong, and not only in the matter I mention. Robinson lost his first fight somewhere around 40-42 nd fight. Of course it was against Jake la Motta who was a middleweight, and later famous champion, whilst Robinson was not only very young, but a lightish welterweight. They fought again about 4-5 times and Robinson won each time. he lost his NEXT fight against Randolph Turpin, after allowing himself to get out of condition, (according to all the newspapers and other reports) during a length and leisurely tour through Europe where he was treated like Royalty.
That made his record something like 132-2. I'm going purely on memory and could be a little out.
Of course, by then he was past his best, but his most famous fights were yet to come.
