JMM is one ****in piece of work. He would constantly call out and chase Pac for a fight, and then when the opportunity comes to actually make the fight, he bulks down, and then he throws a tantrum that Pac is avoiding him.

This is not the first time that this thing happened. There were many instances when all he had to do was say yes, and sign the contract, and he would have had Pacquiao.

Sometimes I feel he is just using his close lose, and a draw as mean to up his profile and hype his other fights. Because if you ask me, I dont think he really wants to actually fight Pac. He just wants to let people know that Pac is avoiding him

Having said that, I am glad that the 3rd fight didnt happened, its just not goin to be competitive especially at 147. I just find it funny that people who wanted the trilogy 6 months ago, see it as a farce now.

jmm fought him twice and gave him a bashing twice..if you dont agree then watch the fights again.

I see lots of negative comments from pac fans i wonder why that is? These guys know that jmm smashed him and gave him a bigger beating than pacs last 5 opponents combined..that's the truth guys and i don't care if you're hating on jmm and trying to avoid it..it's still the truth.
so true my man!.. Only person alive to beat the shyte outta pac is jmmarquez, not once but twice!! Good post!

Or like going from Pacquiao to Chris John... again

Exactly, it's been the different day, same **** routine since '04. Marquez will tell any one within earshot he wants Manny and Manny is avoiding him, then when Pac and Arum go to him to make a fight... he wants 100% of the purse or a 50/50 split after Pac's Cotto fight, or he's going to Indonesia for $30K, or now Zab Judah/Guerrero.

He knows just like everyone else all he has to do is go to Arum with Marquez Promotions and he'll have a deal done overnight like Shane did. But all of a sudden no one wants to see that fight anymore now that Arum wants it next and it makes more sense to fight Judah for relative peanuts than it does to make $8-10 mil with Pac for a fight he so desperately wants and can easily get.

This is funny.. It was JMM that was on the canvass 4 times. It was marques who had a nasty cut/gash in the second fight. It was JMM who had a bleeding nose, a cut after the first fight. If JMM beat the shyte of Pac, then Pac beat the **** out of JMM even more.

Juan Manuel 'Price Out' Marquez. At it since 2004
Marquez appeared to reach stardom in May 2004 when he rallied from three first-round knockdowns to retain his titles in a draw with Pacquiao in a sensational action fight.

HBO, which televised the fight, loved it so much they asked for a rematch, and Top Rank began working on it. But Marquez rejected a career-high $750,000 for the fight, asking instead for $1.5 million -- the entire license fee that HBO had offered for the rematch.

Then, following Marquez's easy decision victory against Victor Polo on May 7, duBoef said Top Rank offered Marquez $1.5 million to fight Erik Morales this fall on HBO PPV. DuBoef said the Marquez camp asked for $3.5 million, a figure even the popular Morales has never been guaranteed for a fight.

i'm having a hard time understanding what mr trilogy's motives are. he's been saying he wants the trilogy. it's his to take already. all he has to do is contact arum's people now before mr vacationer changes his mind.

Pac a former JMW title holder and current WW title holder (at catchweights) wont fight a LW champion/title holder in JMM for a THIRD time without a catchweight??? wtf? Kind of ironic considering.....

Does JMM need to lose for a few years and hit 40 like Mosley? Cheat and lose like Margarito? Or just be a straight up loser like the in house/stepping stone/ pos punching bag "fighter" (or lack there of) in Clottey?

At the end of the day Pac wont fight JMM at 140.... and if its at 147 it should be frowned upon just as it was for Mayweather when facing JMM.... Problem is, if Pac fights JMM at 147 this will be Pac's 4th shyt fight in a row.... not so good.....

Martinez..... and NEW P4P king! Team Pac better choose wisely after beating up on old man Mosley who hasn't won a fight in over 2 years.....
Good post, as usual. But this will be Pac's 7th consecutive fight against an opponent who was at a serious disadvantage. Pac is a pu$$y.

nice to see some background fragments behind mr trilogy. you forgot to mention that arum wanted the trilogy as an alternative to the may/pac debacle two years ago. marquez wanted 50/50 and ost.

Luckily Juan Manuel Marquez, and most other fighters for that matter, are a lot smarter than you are, and more well-informed.

When Arum reneged on the original offer of $1.5mil and slapped JMM in the face by offering him $750k..... Marquez rightly told him to go *** himself.

But I guess you think that whoever fights Pac should just accept whatever change the bobfather happens to drop on the ground in front of them huh?

It is clearly obvious why Arum did not want a rematch with JMM at 130.

And if you don't know what that reason is, then go watch the fight again.

If you do not understand Arum's modus operandi, and cannot see the lengths that he will go to protect his interests, then you should give yourself an uppercut.
