"Berto, the WBC welterweight titleholder, and Ortiz have agreed to a catch weight of 145 pounds plus one, or in effect 146. That’s one pound below the welterweight limit."

I never said Ortiz could beat Pac. I just said let them fight and then we can see. Since when in boxing are fans trying to save fighters from other fighters? Ortiz is a WW champion and so is Pac. What's the problem with them fighting? Instead of fighting a natural 147LB fighter we are supposed to watch Pac fight Marquez again at 147? Ortiz may not be more skilled than JMM but he is stronger at that weight.

All I know is that he's about to clean out (if he gets past mosley) the WW division in about 2 years.. impressive coming from a guy who was under 135 a couple years ago.

He moves up in weight to get belts = ducking opponents.

I think Ortiz/Pac would be a great fight but if I had to choose I would go with Ortiz because Pac hasn't fought anyone as young, determined and strong as Ortiz in a looooonnng time and while Pac makes fights look easy I'm thinking Ortiz would not make it easy for him at all. Fight ain't happening anyways because Ortiz ain't with Top Rank.
