      Many others.
i dont believ all that...sugar ray robinson was a big 135'lber ...he was 5'11 compared to lamotta who was 5'8..... dont believe there was ever close to 17 lbs weight advantge by lamotta over robinson in any of their fights....

and the ts said, with the exection of the hw, there was'nt many fights that a 17 lbs smaller fighter beat the bigger man...name those many fights that you claim happened please!...

SRR was the uncrowned LW champ. He started off as a LW in today standard.

And, if it was in today standard who knows, he might have started off as a super featherweight and stayed at LW much much longer.

Pac win over margarito is defintely underrated here in bs.
            Pac weighed 148lbs vs Margs 165lbs. 17 M....r F...'n lb difference.

I've seen lightweights and Jr. Welterweights weigh more than 148lbs come fight night

& Pac beat him silly for 12 straight rounds while pulling his punches in the last 2.

if you think about it, if the rule was still like it was ( same day weigh in), pac quiao was actaully a ww fighting a smw.....that has never been done before...( atleast not that i know of)...

This boxing site is populated with peeps who probably went to a girl's school. They don't know how to watch boxing. So you have to ignore their posts like you ignore Sarah Palin's words. No offense to Palin supporters here.

Well, do you consider a 15 Lb weight difference close to a 17 Lb difference? Because in there first 3 fights there was a 15 Lb, or close to Lb difference in all of them.

In the other 3 there were a 10, 9 and 5 Lb differnece

So yeah, pretty close. And let's not forget Jake Lamotta is 10x dangerous and simply better than Margarito.

Fitzsimmons is the epitome of someone who had many fights where he was aboutweighed close to 20 Lbs.

Many of the oldtime fights fighters were outweighed by ridiculous weight disadvantages, not all of them were same ay weigh in's so we will never know. But Pacqiauo isn't the first person to beat a vastly bigger man....

Oh, and not faded, inactive fighters going years without a legit win either like Margarito.

Stop using a persons height as a reason for what divison they should be fighting in...if that was the case, Tyson should be the GOAT, as he was only 5'10" and whipping vastly taller opponents...or if thats the case, Paul Williams should get no credit on who he beats seen as he should be fighting in the Heavyweight division at 6'2".....
