Difference between Floyd and manny is that Floyd is a master of the clinch game. Floyd wins and definitely wouldn't have to work as hard as manny for the win due to his tactical clinching.

I still think Floyd would have to work harder than usual though because of marg's granite chin and relentlessness.

floyd did demonstrate mastery of clinching at mosley's fight. dude held on for his life flawlessly, even when he had rubbery legs

i don't know how he'd do that against a JMW margo though. margo wouldn't score a flash KO like mosley. he eats your body and mind with pressure and rough punching. it's just a question of whether floyd can take it for 12 rounds

a prime (maybe loaded up glove) version of Margarito may have had a chance against the younger WW version of Floyd due to what I just said about Tony and even moreso that Floyd was not a real WW and came into the ring at 146 pounds. Floyd is not huge now but has filled out. No way any version of Margarito gives this bigger, stronger version of Floyd any problem

Margo wasn't even a PPV attraction at the time. Oscar was an attraction. Hatton was an attraction.

The only problem about that, Marquez & Floyd were on the P4P list. Im still not getting it on how Dawson or Lewis could call eachother out if only 1 is on the P4P list.

Im not here trying to argue that they couldn't fight. Im just stating that there should be nothing wrong with 2 guys, the number 1 and number 2 guy coming together for a fight, even if one is a weight class lower. And thats what happened there with Marquez.

It could also be compared to Roy Jones vs Lewis, remember Jones went for John Ruizs Paper HW title, instead of going for Lennox's HW title.
