If it was PBF in there that night, could he have kept Margito off him like Manny did?

At least he didn't fight Golden Johnson or Alphonso Gomez....LOL........

Yeah but your not gonna stop someone clinching and in-fighting. It would look similar to B-Hop vs Trinidad or Ward vs Kessler where Floyd tries to smother him and slow his work rate down.

Not only was Marquez P4P #2, he had a following, he was sorta if not a PPV attraction, a marketable fight. There was alot of reason why it was acceptable for Floyd to fight Marquez.

that's debatable. margarito's style and pressure has roughly been the same all thru out his career. it's not like you can say he "slowed down" or "lost his punching power" or something. he was a big underdog and was training his ass off going into the pacquiao bout so mentally he was there, physically he looked the same, stronger even.

i forgot about the dumb catchweight. margarito at 154 is a force, whether people like it or not. i got him battering cotto again and i'm rican lol

i can agree to the bold part too, but margarito would be hell for floyd. i really, really don't think that floyd at this point (age, layoffs) has the tools to make it an easy fight. he may win, but it wouldn't be a stoppage nor an easy UD IMO

The guy fights an ATG as a tuneup and the haters still talk *****.

A great small fighter like JMM is better than a big BUM like Micheal Jennings.

Anyways, Manny did let up off Margarito during the late rounds, I think if he wanted the KO bad enough, he could have got it.

Exactly. And he wasn't a bum or a tomato can by any means. He was still active.
