WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo "Papito" Vazquez Jr. said that he was very confident of remaining as the only undefeated champion in Puerto Rico. He vowed to end Mexico's recent run over Puerto Rican boxers. On May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he faces former champion Jorge Arce on the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley pay-per-view. In the last few weeks, Vazquez watched countrymen Juan Manuel Lopez and Ivan Calderon get knocked out by Mexican boxers. Fighters like Cesar Seda and Francisco Palacios lost their unbeaten records overseas.

c'mon Arce is like ol' yeller waiting to be put outta his misery... but still, Wilfredo is a good kid I hope he does remain undefeated but in all honesty, if he can't beat Arce at this stage than he might want to consider another career.
