It’s used as a joke or during argument but it means….get in your taxi and leave. What it doesn’t mean is, you belong driving a taxi. It’s a witty way of saying **** off.

Since people on this site love throwing the term racism around at every given opportunity, take a look at this. It’s a quote from Edward James Olmos (Latino actor and political activist) from a human rights Q&A at the U.N.
Since I’ve already mentioned what my background is, it’s fair to say I’m not biased however, I can’t find any fault with what he said. It’s worth thinking about.
