Agree with Dempsey. This is silly.

How can Pac get older FASTER than floyd?

Considering Pac's style and activity, will it eventually takes its toll on his body? Now consider Floyd's style and inactivity. Which scenario will be more beneficial if they were to fight next year?
My thing is: you can always shake off ring rust, but cumulative damage and heavy training cant be erased.
Floyd knows what he's doing.

i can see the argument if floyd was actually in the ring. but since he isnt and hes not really fighting anyone, it doesnt make sense to me.
in the long run, pac's wear-n-tear is worse than wifebeater's lay off.
wifebeater came outta retirement and didn't look rusty against jmm. you know wifebeater is a gymrat and always in good shape. the long layoff isn't gonna effect him like the wear-n-tear pac is getting from fighting bigger guys.
wifebeater wants to do what SRL did to Hagler... wait until he slowed down then take the fight.

That's not to say you have to agree with what Manny's saying. Indeed, to a large extent I don't agree with it.
But the fact that some don't even understand what he means, or can't because they're so blinded by hate, is worrying. And very sad.

IMO, the more ACTIVE boxer will age less. A body in motion remains in motion. A less active guy will probably need to train harder
i think Pacquiao training for 2 fights per year vs. a guy who wastes away fighting one fight every 2 years will be in better shape. of course this only lasts a certain point...people get old no whatever how well they condition their bodies.
Floyd had better grow a pair of balls soon. He's got brittle hands. Accidents happen. Health problems happen.
Floyd had better stop suckin on 50 cent's **** and man up soon.

All it took is for Cotto to have one loss, for the excuses to come out to discredit Pac that Cotto was shop worn on the basis of ONE loss to Margarito. So why doesnt that work and apply to Pac, who takes on all comers? OK Pac wins the fights, but there is still accumulative damage from someone who fights everyone. Why else even in sparring you have to take it easy sometimes, there is a fine line between being active and being damaged.

Floyd trains a little all year round, but it's not as tough as a boxing training camp.Last edited by Vadrigar.; 04-22-2011, 04:35 AM.
