He did but I thought Chavez was a little slower then. The Taylor fight did take a lot from him. But that Frankie Randall would be p4p #1 today.

Can't think of a current Jr WW who could beat a prime Randall. That guy was tough no doubt.

It sure was. That's when you know you're the man. When you can basically tell the ref you don't want to fight any more and he says ok, off to the cards we go . Yeah, def some bull****. Chavez was en route to getting his a** beat up again.

But seriously, I don't want to get into all that. He had a bunch of solid dudes on there, fought in front of hundreds of thousands, I think it's unfair to say he fighired out he was lucky for his whole career.

Also, think Chavez would have ever beaten a prime Oscar? Rewatched both fights and while I know he was well past it, I'm starting to doubt he would have ever beaten Oscar.
It ended well before he fought Whitaker and Randall. Pernel Whitaker avoided Chavez when he was in his prime he waited until he had like 87 fights to face him. He was aware that Julio ended and destroyed his buddy carrer Meldrick Taylor who I thought was better than Whitaker before the Chavez fight. Lou Duva didn't want no part of Chavez until he was shop worn. Only a person who knows boxing will agree with me.

Yeah that came out wrong, but losing badly and coming out with a draw, I think definitely can make you question the legitimacy of other fights...The Ramirez fight didn't need to be stopped and it was a headbutt from Chavez anyway, he always got the benefit of the doubt, e.g. Laporte fight, and the scorecards were always insane in Chavez fights, one judge scored it 119-113 in the Lockridge fight. By luck I meant Don King, Chavez is without a doubt one of the most pampered ATGs.
