I don't really care the "it aint time" talk b/c if you champ any other belt holder, top contender & name in your division is fair game.

          I totally disagree.

Berto was ready, and Vic dished him up.

Karass or Jones would be at least one step backwards.

Ortiz is clearly the #3 welter.

He has answered the questions that were asked of him.

Right now, he is on top of the world, he is ready for Pac.

Ortiz is skilled, prime, coming off a great win, and on top of his game.

          That fight will not happen.

i agree. People are saying Berto got exposed. I didn't see that at all, Berto threw bombs and he took bombs. Vic just dished him up as you say. Iv'e always said he struggles to get to 140. He dropped the ball against Maidana, but i don't see that happening after this victory. Ortiz has power. He drops everyone he fights. Even though he lost to Maidana he still dropped him 3 times......and even if he loses to Pac i think it will be really competitive. Ortiz showed he has a very good chin at 147, stamina, speed and true power. HE IS A REAL THREAT TO MAYWEATHER AND MP. I think he prob loses to both because he get's reckless sometimes, but damn him and Many would be a DELIGHT....an absolute slugfest.

Ortiz is skilled/ready because he beat Berto??Another HBO Hype Job,and tbh Berto was not ready and I've been saying that for months..Ortiz prove nothing(I repeat)nothing at WW but beating and over hype fighter(good win but the truth is the truth)not to mention he proved nothing at Jr WW..IMO I would like to see if Ortiz is really the goods, and there are some other fighters at WW who can show us not named Pac..

Hey it's his chance I guess,he won't be paid great and he will lose so it's his choice..

Funny thing is I guess fans just want anybody to get a shot at Pac or Mayweather..Gone are the days you had to prove ya self, now a days one good win and your the bell of the ball..

I think Ortiz handles everyone at welter except MP, FMJ and Josh Clottey (should he fight there again----> though he could prob outwork Clottey because he throws alot and can sustain it). Mike Jones vs Ortiz would be an interesting fight also.

...BUT if Pac doesn't fight Floyd or JMM after SSM, why not ORTIZ???????

Ortiz is ready. He's got good boxing skills and wont be a sitting target for Pacquiao. It would be a fight Pac could very well lose. He's faster than Cotto and 10x the boxer that Margarito is. He showed us that he's exciting and willing to put it on the line. I love the possibility of this fight happening.

Because like I just said he has proved nothing,I'm not gonna preach against one(Berto)and the other..I really not in the habit of supporting fighters to get a shot at big time without proving anything..Jones is interesting so is Karass(unlike Berto he won't be tired he will be in Ortiz face)even his Mandatory ya know..But to just enter the Pac sweepstakes and don't earn it is wack imo..
