Where he made a big mistake by disrespecting Pac in his own turf. JMM was invited for a boxing event & a TV commercial starring him and Pac. Instead, with hordes of tv crews, he ambushed Pac shoving pen and paper to his face asking him to sign the contract. Pac left him. The commercial was cancelled.

Marquez is supposed to be this Mexican warrior , but he is ducking more people than Mayweather, first Dela Hoya wanted to make the Khan-Marquez fight like 2 years ago, Marquez turned it down and chose to fight Diaz in a rematch, then when Bradley Maidana were calling out Marquez he avoided them and fought another taylor made opponent in Katsidis. Marquez kept calling out Pac at welterweight even tho Jmm used that as an excuse why he loss to Floyd, saying the weight hurt him, Arum came out with a great idea and said how about marquez and berto fight and the winner fights pac, that way Marquez can prove he can fight at WW, Marquez turned that down. Now Oscar is giving JMM 2 options either Judah or Guerrerro so Jmm goes silent forever like Mayweather did, comes back and says basicly he not going to fight either, some warrior

Bob Arum recently said that he doesn't want to promote JMM's fights, he just doesn't want GBP involved if he fights Pacquiao. So, this could be one-off deal, fight Pac and then go off and do your own thing. But then again can you really believe Bob Arum and anything he says. He is like the devil, he mixes truth with the lies. I hope this fight get's made in November if Floyd Jr is nowhere to be found (again)....

It is absurd to hear some of you talking about Sergio Martinez as a potential future opponent for Pacquiao, it seems like you have managed to convince yourselves that Manny would actually take that fight

Most of the following disadvantages apply to ALL of Pac's last 7 opponents.

* Manny will not fight a skilled boxer
* Manny will not fight a skilled counter-puncher
* Manny will not fight anybody who is in their prime
* Manny will not fight anybody who is on top of their game
* Manny will not fight anybody who is coming off a win
* Manny will not fight anybody without a distinct advantage

Martinez (and Ortiz) are the polar-opposite of Pac's last 7 opponents.

And wow, what a coincidence, if you look at recent events you can see the same pattern emerging.....

Berto, who was prime and undefeated, was short-listed, but not selected (surprise, surprise)..... and yet Ortiz, who blitzed him, will not even be considered WTF?

IMO, they will not even fight Marquez next because he is still too far removed from the list above. He is most likely still too dangerous, even with the ridiculous advantage gained by dragging him up to 147. They will wait until he is 40, or takes a loss, or shows more signs of fading..... like they did with Shane.

Look for Zab, or one of the lesser JWW's, I doubt that Bradley gets a look-in.
