Why must you make up stuff? I actually watch him fight, he hasn't taken ANY "severe damage" since fighting Miguel Cotto in 2009 and I'm not sure I would call that "severe damage". Even then he beat the crap out of Miguel. But he takes "severe damage EVERY TIME", LOL. And I'm the one that lives in willful ignorance?

Please dont come to me talking about "common sense". Please don't.

This is true, and me personally...I think he hasn't taken much damage since moving up from 130.

And I agree. He really hasn't. Cotto busted up his ear, but not too much since he's made the move up. I mean, lets look at his move from the second Marquez fight until now.

        Diaz- Utterly destroyed this guy.
        Oscar- Beat his head
        Hatton - Flattened in 2
Cotto- Kinda close early, then pulled away fast (Cotto busted up his ear)
Clottey- Sparring session against a guy that didn't want to fight back, easy win
Tony- Busted the guy up, real good. Got hurt to the body.
Shane - Will probably be like the Tony or Diaz fight.

Man, in those fights Manny sure took alot of "severe damage".

        • Pacquiao talking about wating for someone to get old and shop worn but after Erik Morales lost to Zahir Raheem. Pac fought Erik Morales instead of the winner Rahim.

            SMH

their immediate rematch were supposedly made right after the bell of 12th round of their 1st fight

that was a tune-up fight, blame Erik for losing that fight that he's supposed to win not Pac

LMAO @ Pac fans when there slapped with facts and they start attacking Floyds personal life as if it proves something. If we go through everything that has occurred between the two camps, although it would seem that both camps have lied, it is plainly obvious that Pac's camp comes off as the ones who are hiding something. Aside from the most recent episode where Floyd's camp is claiming there were never any negotiations, all the spin has been coming out of Pac's camp!!! All Floyd did was request Olympic style drug testing, then the **** hit the fan. Arum and Pac's camp went into a crazy PR spin and all this added stuff when it was a simple request of DRUG TESTING. Now the response is Floyd doesnt rule boxing, he doesn't make the rules, BLAH BLAH BLAH. The fight could have happened but the PR spin was more important. If Pac had done the testing and lost to Floyd then there goes the millions of dollars he would potentially make fighting Cotto, Clottey, Cheatto, now Mosley, and Probably two More fights before he actually fights Floyd.

Now the spin of hes waiting untill Im old. All you guys can say what you want, but an active fighter will always maintain more of his skills then an in active fighter. Wars account for nothing but how your skin reacts to punches and how easily you bruise. Reflexes, response, ability stays sharp because the constant use and training. DLH and Mosely are very good examples of this.DLH was only fighting once a year and even took almost a two year lay off at one point, did not seem at all as good as he once was. While Mosely remaining active seems to be slowing down but still maintains the ability to compete at a high level. DLH is two years younger then Mosley and had 45 fights to Mosley's 53 and counting. To say that a fighter who has been inactive for years (and it will be years by the time they fight) has more of a chance to win then an active fighter is wrong especially if the active fighter has only fought one sided fights for the last couple of years.
BRAVO! You're not blinded by the Top Rank science.

sigh. do i actually need to explain to you something so simple? damage in the fight is caused NOT ONLY during the fight, but also during the two whole months of preparation leading up to the fight.

also, he looked pretty busted up to me after the clottey fight. and he had to be hospitalized the very next day for severe body pains after his margarito fight.

as they say, none are so blind as those who refuse to see.

Again, I watched both of those fights, and Manny didn't take any "severe damage". Stop it with the reaching. I don't even know why I'm sitting here discussing this with you. I really don't, man. Its pretty clear if you've watched him fight.

yeah right..... So Manny made Morales get old and into wars before he revenged his loss?

Let us know how many wars Morales had before Manny tried to revenge his loss to Morales? Please let everyone know how many years went by before the 2nd fight happened?

So, Manny moves up to 130 to fight Morales as his first opponent at that weight, loses but then he needs to move up to 135 to fight Raheem instead of trying to beat Morales who he just lost too? Really?

Secondly, Manny lost to Erik when Morales was about 28 then fought him again about 10 months later. So he wasn't old as you put it PLUS they fought soon after Manny lost. Therefore no waiting to get old and no wars happened for Morales between fight #1 and #2.
