u make a lot of baseless assumptions based on your love of a specific fighter, u know that?? its a very dangerous precedent to follow. who knows why marquez made this decision. but i might have had somethin to do with the fact that he wanted to prolong his career as opposed to going the cash out route. either way, none of that implies that he didnt wanna fight pac.

You can blame Arum if you like, but Marquez said he desperately wanted a Pacquiao fight and could've gotten it, then signed with GBP afterwards if he was so keen on being under their promotional umbrella. He knew what it took to get the fight and it was there for the taking. But he turned it down and said, 'what's Zab Judah up to these days'.

I doubt I'm the only one who thought this fight was pointless at time time. Pacquiao is the much bigger man and Marquez is a bit older now. It would have "settled" nothing.
That being said, big fights are left for both guys. Pacquiao with Mosley, then potentially Ortiz, or even Mayweather and possibly a couple of rematches along the way. Should be fun.
With Marquez, he has Amir Khan potentially, Robert Guerrero, Brandon Rios.
Some good fights out there for them without a third fight that means nothing.Comment
