    What a coincidence

It is gypsum, you apply it as a powder, and it hardens when wet.

" That substance, according to Judd Burstein, Mosley’s lawyer, appeared to be “like plaster of Paris”. Richard Schaefer, Mosley’s promoter who saw a photograph of the offending fist, likened it to concrete "..... " A foreign substance was found by CSAC staff in the hand wraps of Antonio Margarito " Tim Noonan, the CSAC chairman, said..... Schaefer said "The thing is, you wonder now how many times he did it before. "
The report said that TRACES of TWO of the ingredients found in Plaster of Paris.....the report also continued......"it must be said however, that these same ingredients are found in many other manufactured items, including COSMETICS in which they are heavily used.

There were several "official" Commission reports published, and each one was a little different.

I am paraphrasing just ONE of the several reports I read. Also, as I recall, the Commission was very careful to note that there was NO PROOF that Margarito knew that his bandages contained illegal wraps, and he was not being accused of this.

The "illegality" was in the fact that the wraps were USED instead of NEW. There was no mention of the "substances" being illegal but the pads themseves, in one of the reports I read. (The pads were obviously sweat hardened, not Plaster of Paris hardened, and they found NO Plaster of Paris.) I particularly noted that it did NOT say that it was NOT talcum powder, which is a cosmetic.

There was NEVER any declaration by the investigating Commission (except in the crappy minds on sites like this one) that Margarito used Plaster of Paris Pads hardened pads

IF he had done so, he would have been BANNED FOR LIFE.

So where do "BRICKS, and all this crap come from...?? From diseased minds that's where

I deal in facts, not self induced delusions inspired by irrational hatreds.

We also have to realise, before we begin our daily froth-at-the-mouth-rants, that these reports, although issued by the Commission, were without question amplified by ambitious journalists, going about their normal "today's "horror" dosage for an ever credulous public.

NOW....if you can understand any of this, i will have done my daily good deed in leading you towards the LIGHT instead of your normal slide on down to darkness.

And as for your Plaster of Paris crap, allow me to remind you (as I have posted here several times already) of the DEFINITIVE experiments done years ago by a large group of boxing experts under the au****es of Nat Fleischer, in which it was PROVEN for ALL TIME, that Plaster of Paris-ed hand wraps are useless as an extra weapon, since they crumble into powder after a few hits. ALL the experimentation was meticulously done and that was the result and verdict.

So, basically, you guys are all nuts.

        Sorry, I simply cannot agree.

I agree with your sentiment regarding " the burden of absolute proof ".

You make a good arguement, but come on man, let's not be gullible here.

Margarito was found to have illegal inserts in both of his gloves, and there was also a substance found on his wraps that just so happens to be the primary compound of plaster-of-paris.

Buddy, I am going with the plainly obvious, as did the CSAC.

I think he deserves credit for how he handled the situation, not being called a b1tch. He showed a lot of class in even shaking the guys hand, and thats the way you handle those situations especially with the media present.

It isn't about being a simpleton, it isn't about being a thug. If I believe a man loaded his gloves (which we don't know and can only specualte about Marg vs Cotto) then you better believe I would *** him up.

That is the worst thing you can do in the sport of boxing....PERIOD!!

Cotto wouldn't have gone to jail, he wouldn't been fined. You guys must not watch boxing much but I can sit here and name 10 press conferences where there were punches thrown and landed.

It would have shown that Cotto doesn't like Marg's like he says when Marg isn't around and would have sold the fight even more.

When Barrera stood toe to toe in front of Morales, you think he didn't hit him? He punched him in the face and let him know he didn't like him.

Cotto is a classy guy and I like him but he went out like a b1tch. Marg is his daddy and I see this now, some dude loads his gloves on me, *** that I'm meeting him in the parking lot and trying to end his career.

If Arum had NOT arranged for Margarito to be there, and NOT called him up to the podium, so as to allow Cotto, ON CAMERA, to give him a dirty looks, he would have been NEGLIGENT in his responsibility to promote the coming fight in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE as as to increase the revenue, SO THAT THE FIGHTERS GET MORE MONEY.... What Arum gets, he well deserves it, He works hard for it, and risks up his own money where needed.

              You ******, bigoted ass.
I guess for a guy with your IQ it is the only way they can sell the fight. Your name calling really shouts out how dumb you are.
