jk, I think Ortiz has the best one recently. Cotto's was good, but Berto was ranked higher than Quintana was at WW.
    True.

But Berto had been inactive and was coming off a one rd KO of Hernadez.

Quintana had just schooled undefeated prospect of the year KO artist The Love Child Joel Julio.

    Quintana was undefeated himself.

    Cotto utterly destroyed Quintana.

    Their comparable victories.

Neither of those fights were their WW debuts.

        Better opposition, no doubt.

        Better performance?

Sweat Pea made him look really bad at times.

        So I'd say no.

No they were not. They weighed in above 140 in previous fights.

Both fights are considered there official debuts or entries to WW.

They fought above those weights early with an intention of fighting at 140. They were campaigning at that weight class.

So. Those fights are considered there debuts at WW.

Just because a guy shows up at 141 or 144 dosen't make them WW. They are still registered as JWW until they officially change classes.

When fighters weigh in above 140 it's a WW fight.

I disagree with this statement. Quintana was holding his own and was giving Miguel quite the fits in the fight. Up until the body shot that retired Quintana of course.

When people talk about this fight, it comes across as if Cotto went in and just blew Quintana out the water. A no contest, per se.

Agreed. Victor Ortiz vs. Vivian Harris was in fact a welterweight bout.

                    Your correct.

It was a good fight until the end.

I was referring to the condition Carlos was in after it was over.

                    He looked like different person.

But yes, that was a very even fight before the corner stopped it.
