Stop this Victitor Ortiz BS he is still the guy that got beat by Maidana and had a draw with Petterson. Solid win but stop overating the guy.
In case you were unaware, some fighters actually get better as time goes on.

This is only Ortiz's first fight at 147.

Being a potential opponent is one thing, but to say he's a threat is something else. Not saying you said that, but a lot of other people are.

It's not just Pac and Floyd. I also see other threads such as Ortiz vs. Cotto and Martinez thread. Come on, Martinez?

Ortiz still needs 2 or 3 wins before I would even consider him for a Pac or Mayweather fight.

If it weren't for his lost to Maidana and draw to Peterson, I wouldn't have too much doubt. One good win over Berto, who is arguably less regarded than him doesn't completely erase the fact that he quit against Maidana and drew against Peterson, who he should have finished.

A win over Berto is a huge step forward, but not even close to what people are making it out to be.

For sure. The guy is a huge JWW. He came in at 161, that's unreal.

You totally missed the point of this thread.

Did you even read the first post in the thread or did you just want to rant and whine about something?

A win over Maidana would be greater than beating a punching bag with no stamina in Berto

sorry, youre right, we shouldnt get excited about seeing an outstanding fight amongst two high level boxers at Welterweight, especially when the winner is someone that has made big improvements and could be a big star.

I'm not even an Ortiz fan but this is a big LOL. Once Cotto beats Jennings to Mayorga, "Oh he's back!", " My God!" and then we have Lopez who beat up on bums "Lopez is the queen diva, he's the draw!", he can fight stiff after stiff and we would see all these threads on here.

And who the **** are you to dictate what people want to post? Ortiz won big in a very exciting fight, what else do you want us to talk about on a BOXING forum, American Idol?

Maidana didn't beat victor, he beat himself by quitting. And the same thing with Peterson. If he wudve shown the same heart from Saturday, during both those bouts, he wudve rolled past both maidana n Lamont.
