Actually it didn't exactly happen like that. He got his leg tangled up with the legs of his sparring partner. Klitschko's injury was far worse, he cleanly snapped the Posterior Cruciate Ligament, the thick one which is at the very centre of the knee and is the major connector between the thigh bone and the lower leg. It;s about an inch thick, and less common to injure than the Anterior Cruciate Ligament which was Solis' injury. Solis' injury is in fact quite common, and heals and rehabilitates well. Klitschko was off for about 4 years.
That's DOCTOR Vitali Klitschko to you

Solis can say what he want's. He may even believe it, I'm not calling him a liar. But Klitschko said he hit him a very hard punch.
And, strange as it may seem to you, (and many other posters) who may have never been in the ring, a punch which will knock you down (or even out) is very commonly NOT felt at all. I was once KD by a punch on my ear and as I've written here before, I just rolled over and on to my feet just before the ref began to count. It all happened so quickly. I thought at first that that I'd slipped and was surprised, it had never happened before. BUT...the ringing in my ears and the after fight ache there decided me that I had been hit. And my reflexes became a little slow for a few seconds so that I received several more punches, NONE OF WHICH I FELT other than the concussive force. In other words, there was NO HURT, NO PAIN.Comment

Nobody takes nuthuggery to the level Klitschko fans do, i mean you actually voted for the Bro's over Lewis and Tyson for the best HW boxer since Holmes.Originally posted by Klitschko2011JoeyZagz and Blobby = Dumb and Dumber

You are a smart fella Mr. Blobs, but suffer from a little absentmindedness. You forgot to mention that Kiev University, although ranked #1346 in the Word's TOP Universities, was out of a list of 8,000 top Universities. That's not bad, not bad at all...... Considering that in many countries, there are literally hundreds of Universities, each often focusing closely on a specific subject. The Universities I went to, for example , just take the 1st one, it specialised in Medicine, Law, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as the Arts like English Lit. etc It probably ranks in the first 100 in the world as it's med degree is accepted worldwide. But there were several other Universities in the same city, from which one could NOT graduate as a physician, they just didn't cater to it. There were 2 other Universities where you could take, say the first 2 years-pre-med and 1st year med- but did not have an Anatomy Room. So, although there were probably a dozen or more Universities there, there were only 3 from which one could obtain an MD. And one of them restricted itself only to Medicine and Dentistry, didn't even have a Campus or playing fields or any other facilities.
So as far as I am concerned, Kiev Uni is OK.Comment

I would take them over Lewis, but not over Tyson, unless their size combined with their mobility power and accuracy, would be too much even for such a murderer as Tyson. I just don't know.
It's so difficult to know where to put the Klitschkos in the ranks of the All Time Great Heavyweights.Comment

You can see that Klitschko hit Solis very solidly in that Slo-Mo cut. Just look at the sudden BULGE of Klitschko's bicep at the time of contact. That could ONLY happen if there was solid resistance.Vitali Klitschko's statement after his 1st round knockout win over Solis
"I was inside the ring and I saw many, many times on video - the fight, and there is only one clear answer. I prepared the punch, half uppercut/half hook. I prepared this punch and I feel that I hit him pretty hard. Solis was knocked out, what happened after that, where he breaks his ligaments or his knee - it's his problem. I'm sorry the fight was so short. The next fight, I promise not to hit my opponent for the first three rounds, and then I'll knock him out. With Solis there are no excuses, this was a knockout punch"

It's obvious.Comment
