He won the British title, European title AND won an eliminator for the World title.

Exactly what do you have against Ryan Rhodes, Larry?

You are way off base Larry.

Rhodes has been a mandatory for a good minute.

Hes by far the biggest step up in Canelo's career.

I slightly favor Canelo but it can go either way.

Rhodes is a former MW and has never loss at 154.

      This fight is legit.

Ryan Rhodes is rated top 10 by virtually every major boxing publication, and has been in the top ten for a while now.

This is definitely a legitimate fight for Alvarez, one that he just might lose. A lot of fighters have been losing the 0s lately against top 10 contenders who dont have a big name, but are still solid opposition.

Dude deserves a shot at the WBC shot more than anyone. Dude has been step-son for almost two years while bring a top rated contender in their rankings.

I'm glad Suliaman set this bout up because giving Rhodes his shot was the right thing to do.

            look who he's fighting

You can't be deserving of a title shot AND fight saul alvarez.

That's too risky for the hype train.

Yeah he has been promised several times by the WBC that he would get his shot. It was suppose to be him vs Chavez for the title, then when JCC turned that fight down a move was made to pit him against Alvarez or Margarito....only for the WBC to push Pacquiao vs Margarito for the title. To top it off, then then made Hatton vs Alvarez once it was vacated again.....so yeah the mosdef owe Rhodes a shot at the title.

Why do you only like non-black fighters?

IMO Rhodes reminds me of Bika/Glenn Johnson in the sense that he a rugged guy that isn't elite, but will give you one helluva fight.

This is a real challenge by Alvarez and he gets alot of props from me if he beats Rhodes. This is definitely a step-up and great match-making by GBP (they have been on a roll lately).

Ryan Rhodes actually deserves it. He will be the best fighter Canelo has fought in his career. This is actually a big step and an actual top 10 JMW. There should be no excuses if Canelo beats him.

Only problem with this is that Canelo doesn't even deserve the WBC JMW title.

Hatton-Canelo was just GBP's answer to Top Rank's Pac-Margarito without a PPV[same no-hoper vs superstar for a vacant title template]. Though Hatton was all game and definitely got my respect and nobdy was trying to hype this fight up as a challenge, even Canelo called Hatton a no-hoper.

Just because you don't know him don't mean he dont deserve it.
