In a recent interview Robert Garcia said that he once walked out of a fight he was working with Victor Ortiz. He said Ortiz didn't like to be yelled at and brought up something about his father yelling at him or something like that.

I think it's safe to say that Victor is immature, he is also sensitive. He hasn't had the best childhood and hasn't handled it well. A lot of us didn't have a good childhood but I just think Victor is softer inside than most.

He is like a poet inside a warriors body. He reminds me of Ricky Williams.

yeah he certainly has, and I'm one of the many who used to criticize him but he has silenced me and made me a supporter again.

I can't really say Ortiz has arrived. That fight with Berto was more about Berto rather than Ortiz. Remember that Ortiz got KD'ed couple of times in that fight. He nearly lost. It was about Berto not doing the right thing. So until I see Ortiz in another huge fight and wins, this big victory would only be temporary at best.

He lived up to the "Vicious" handle on Saturday night and proved how possible it is for a fighter to redeem his heart after letting himself down on a previous occasion. I was one of those who doubted Vic and he proved me wrong. Good boy.

Even his post-fight interview was more tolerable and honest; he seemed to have dropped all the annoying, 'trying to be cute like Oscar', GBP charm-school winsomeness for the most part.

Maybe he has truly arrived.
