yes, he's going to have to sustain it but the type of grit that he showed in that fight was the most important thing in that performance

trading knockdowns, getting into a slugfest..it became a Maidana-like brawl and it showed some heart for him to keep wanting it

if deep down inside, there was a warrior in Victor, it finally showed up last Saturday and that measure of redemption AND confidence in himself is the biggest win, aside the title

    great thread, C
I would give you green K if it let me...

You know something, I said the same thing. This fight could not have gone better than it did for Ortiz, think about it for a second.

If Ortiz goes out and KO's Berto in the first round, then people would have said Berto was a fraud and never tested. ****, people are saying that now...lol

The fact that Ortiz got knocked down, got back up and showed the heart and determination he did, to me was the best thing that could have happened to him. He proved all the naysayers wrong and like you said, showed that warrior inside of him we hoped we might see a glimpse of.

i was one who supported Ortiz and now everyone is on his nuts after last Saturday. Its the mass of people who say he doesnt have any heart that make indivduals like Ortiz be tormented by others negativity.

On behalf of those who did support ortiz, good job. And those who ****ted on the at the time 23 yr old for having a rough night wit maidana, go fu$k yourselves u superficial, gutless posers acting like you have been in the ring before.

Oritz conquered his demons in the ring against Berto, mad props. While we have internet fruits and critics who have never fought at all!

Me and you both man. People were writing off Ortiz at the age of 23 after being thrown into a tough fight with Maidana. I knew he was good for a comeback and he definitly came through.
