How amateur was Berto's corner ?

His coach couldn't get a word in with Berto's brother just talking random ****** **** like 'you a beast man come on' in Berto's ear all night, and when his coach was able to get a word in it was always something like 'come on baby, come on now, box this guy, ok... look at me come on'

Berto looked confused from taking punches and his corner was confusing him ever more.

I was rooting for Ortiz so it didn't bother me, just thought it was funny.

What did you guys think ?

Amateur is an understatement. Not only his brother and father talking nonsense the entire time, but Berto also choosing to look towards his father, while not paying attention to what his trainer was trying to tell him. The trainer had absolutely no control over what was going on that night. Panic set in early, and IMO helped contribute to the final outcome of the fight.

You guys remember any other examples of ****ty corner work ?

The latest one I can remember was Solis vs Gamboa were Solis got knocked out right at the bell and as he went to his corner the didn't have a stool for him, so he had to walk around the ring until they brought it up.

kind of makes me feel bad for him on some level, he had no one in his corner to help him out really.
oh well, hope he makes some changes for the better. still happy ortiz beat him though.
