Juanma's co-promoter Peter Rivera plans to protest the ref's decision to stop the fight with the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission, while the other co-promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, has dissociated himself from the critics who are going after the referee.

the stoppage was early, but what does juanma's rican promoeter want to do reverse the decision to a no contest?

all ref did was save juanma from getting KTFO spectacularly

Just Loving the fact another hype get put to sleep

Great fight Salido!, what a warrior and true champ you are. Salido was at Lopez home tuff in P.R. with the bigger ring to benefit Lopez so he can run, and he still got put to sleep. Salido had Lopez dancing like a BALARINA in that ring. Lopez looked like Héctor Camacho and Salido looked like the great Julio César Chávez. Man you made Mexico pround vato!. Much Love and repect to p.ricans. dont take this to heart homies. Love the sport of boxing and both countrys have great champs. Viva Mexico.

juanma was gonna get ko eventually from the way it was looking. throwing punches was his only defense. he would have needed a miracle to hold on and actually win. we all agree on that but the stoppage was dumb.

There was like a minute and a half left.. Salido was dropping bombs.. Ya the ref could have let it go longer but he knew he was about to get ko'd.

Pinche Valcarcel looks like Frank Lopez, Tony Montana's boss from Scarface.

Thsi is BS, the referee did the right thing. The referee's job is to protect the fighters and he did his job spectacularly yesterday, Juanma's own team had to hold him up after the fight so he wouldn't fall down and he had a hard time answering in the post fight interview, that's how out of it he was.
