nobody praises the ginger kid for that fight except some mexicans and sulaiman and his cronies

Ortiz is a very very weak Champion...and you don't have to be some monster to beat him.

c'mon son... soto-karass took jones to his limit. in the rematch, jones was hitting soto-karass at will, but still coulldn't find the courage to put soto-karass out of his misery. I ain't sayin jones can't beat ortiz, but to act like jones will easily beat ortiz or that jones is way superior to ortiz is dumb.

Berto almost beat him and he can't even fight on the inside.

Berto gasses and so does jones.... jones' inside game isn't much better than bertos. but atleast jones doesn't hug like berto does

Berto is not a counterpuncher...maybe he THINKS he is..but that's not reality.

Berto is a counterpuncher, just one with poor stamina and no real skills at setting up his counters with movements and angles

          Who is "Mike jones"
Yes, I could go youtube or google him but since I haven't and don't know who he is I doubt he is anyone.

Dude, you can point out this and that. But, you still haven't answered the most significant question.

How is Ortiz gonna deal with that jab and movement ?

Ortiz is gonna be forced to do what he hates doing the most if he faces Jones, and that is to jab(not necessarily sayin' he has to win the jab contest, 'cause he won't)

Ortiz himself is no hunter, he likes to counter, it's gonna be hard to counter a guy taller than him and that keeps stinging you with a fast jab.

Jones would beat Ortiz....he is sloppy sometimes but he hs the tools to put Ortiz away. If they fought and Jones won, I would not be surprised...I can see Ortiz winning as well, like a 50/50% fight.

damn dude, you don't know what the **** your talking about.

it's gonna take more than a good jab and movement to beat ortiz.

ortiz doesn't have to jab with a jones to beat him.

                ortiz isn't a counterpuncher.

granted that jones is taller and has a good jab, but that alone doesn't make jones head and shoulders better than ortiz.

Well, man.....he is probably good enough to beat Ortiz and about 95% of anyone else fighting near welter right now. He is an unknown now but on the verge of breaking out, all boxing fans should know about this guy...honestly.

                    you crazy man... what tools?

what tools does jones have to put Ortiz away?

I can see jones boxing with ortiz and making it a close fight, but jones stopping ortiz is crazy.

                      what???

jones arguably lost to soto-karass and was so scared of gassing out he refused to take out soto-karass even though he could hit soto-karass at will... I mean soto-karass' corner was on the verge of stopping the fight and jones took his foot off the pedal.

some of ya'll acting like jones is the reincarnation of vernon forrest (R.I.P.), but he isn't 50% of what forrest was.
