From what I heared is that Floyd wont be dropped until a few days after May 7th, meaning Pac vs Mosley won't be for the ring belt. However I'm sure Victor Ortiz goes to #2 so if him any Manny fought it would be for the Ring belt (just a guess on my part).

yeah I know, but the ring had mosley at #5. With berto losing, cotto & floyd being removed, doesn't that bump mosley up?

floyd's last fight was on May 1st and the ring states if no fight has been scheduled within a years time they are dropped from the rankings. So I would imagine he would be dropped on May 2nd.

Considering he is a title holder and just beat the #3 fighter at WW I think its a good possibilty The Ring will rank him higher than Mosley. But who knows.

Cotto most definitely shouldn't be on there but according to this months Magazine that I read yesterday Cotto is #4 and Mosley is #5 so I don't know what's going on there.

I wonder if that's an error because he hasn't fought there since pac in 2009 so that would contradict their own rules.

I think that is most likely what has occurred, I was thinking when I was reading it that it didn't really make sense. Plus, according to the website, Cotto isn't ranked at 147.

Then again, Pacqiauo was considered the Lineal Champion at 140 for longer than a year, wasn't he? Or am I mistaken?

Who knows. All I know is, Pacqiauo-Mosley should not be for the Lineage considering Mosley hasn't won a fight at WW since Jan 09.

                Your probably right.

Those weren't my words and it was me just stating what others were saying on this site. I honestly don't know how that works or if it will be for the Ring belt.

He's getting dropped after May 1. Ronnie and some other sites started misquoting it as May 10.

I may have to look this up but if I remember correctly you can't lose The Ring belt from inactivity, you can only lose it by losing a fight or retiring or by giving it back (which is what pac did??)

Who knows. All I know is, Pacqiauo-Mosley should not be for the Lineage considering Mosley hasn't won a fight at WW since Jan 09.
it definitely seems almost absurd and laughable but technically it appears it could be reality, just based on people being dropped and losing. It all depends on where they rank Ortiz.

Certain instances they let a 1 vs 3 matchup be for the belt
