I wonder who hes gona fight next i know he aint gona get a mega fight with PAC right now but kinda sucks cuz he did beat Berto and is the new WBC champion and i think hes the one who should b in line to fight pAC next given that he beats mosley...Ortiz still need to Defend hes title and get used to WW and good do more work in the gym about not rushing in too much without the Jab and when he does power jab's hes way in he is very tough cuz the boi can punch

"take a vacation and then take on the big names, why not?" dude needs to take it easy, fight good WW opponents, and build his career up into a money making boxing star. victor is still young, and still have things to accomplish, let alone work on. trying to take on pacman or mayweather is just going to **** him up back to where he was. defend that belt, get a crowd, and then let the big paychecks come in.

Ortiz fought a great fight & got a great victory tonight!! But I saw his fight against Maidana & I don't know why he's trying to change the story cause IT WAS CLEAR HE GAVE UP & DIDN'T WANT TO CONTINUE THAT NIGHT!!! Better proof of that was after the fight when Ortiz said "I SHOULDN'T BE TAKING THIS TYPE OF PUNISHMENT"!! & even hinted he was gonna QUIT BOXING AFTER THAT FIGHT!! It doesn't look good for Ortiz to try to trash or minimize Maidana, after Maidana beat him FARE & SQUARE!!

Gotta agree with this post... I don't understand, in light of Victors great win tonight, why he would make those comments about not quitting against Maidana. The whole world saw it Vic, you can't be serious? Don't go that way bro... At any rate, I was thrilled to see Ortiz keep his fire and passion throughout the entire fight and I hope he stays this way and doesn't revert back to his old ways.

BTW, did anyone else find it interesting that Oscar DeLaHoya chose to be in the U.K. with Khan (for pretty much a tune-up stay busy fight), rather then to be there with Ortiz in his biggest fight last night? He does still promote Vic doesn't he?
