Can we please stopped using "shreds" and "ripped"? He hardly said anything that's "shred" worthy.

Ortiz dugged in deep for this one and much prop to him in beating Berto. But to me, Ortiz's performance is very unpredictable and erratic. Just look at the performance against Maidana and Peterson. Now this?! Is this part of "growing pain" or is there some mental aspect which is causing this? This guy is an absolute nightmare for oddsmakers. Which version of Ortiz will show up for the next fight?? Anyone?

Good for Ortiz he has taken a lot of **** and has came back and showed that he does have what it takes. Maybe that loss was the best thing that happend for his career.

^^^ yeah, it could be. all the hate and **** he had to deal with pushed him to the limit and put him in a position to have a do or die performance. glad to see him prove himself and become champion. hope he is champ for a long time and has plenty of more good fights to come...

Dibella promoted Jermaine Taylor who was put on the bright light too soon. Now Berto is heading in the same direction. Berto is gonna retire via twitter

naw man... dibella ****ed up berto by feeding him jr WWs and WW mismatches for millions of dollars, while ortiz was going through wars and tough fights for pesos.

berto was overpaid and complacent, while ortiz was hungry and pissed off.

at least taylor fought tough competition... berto never even had half the competition that taylor had.

Will he perform similarly if his back is not against the wall?
This hopefully is a defining fight for him and stabilizes his performance.
However, I am still not sold on this guy yet.

I don't think I ever used the word "hypejob" as much as I did during this fight. "Finish the hypejob off", "Knock that hypejob out", "Don't let this hypejob get away", "hypejob ect.".... My girl was getting mad at me for saying it so much.

However, as much as I belive that of Berto, he showed a little something tonight and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in his next fight. Good win for Victor. I think he takes Maidana at 147... And what he said isn't as bad as the "shreds" description say it is.
