Martinez beat the #1 and #2 in a division that is actually too high for him.

When did Pacquiao last do anything like that Noddy ?

Sergio is a large JMW who is punching above his weight and beating top middleweights..... Pac will not even fight a genuine JMW, and the only welterweight that he has ever fought at 147 is Josh "the punching bag" Clottey.

    Smarten up.

Why you gotta whine about Sergio on a Berto/Ortiz thread ?

You think about ***y before you fall asleep at night, dont'cha?

I just prefer when people lose to admit they were outclassed. I would have loved Berto to say, "I got knocked down twice. He hurt me. My legs were wobbled at various points throughout the fight and it was hard to put a lot on my punches when I was getting stunned round in and round out. I hurt him bad in the sixth, but then he hurt me back, and it was hard to find the power after that."

Is anyone capable of showing that much humility and being so honest? The "It wasn't me" excuse is tired. Sometimes it IS you and you just lose.

sadly there isnt much humility in the world, period, let alone boxing. I totally agree though, just makes boxers look bad when they make excuses. Just man up and say so and so was the better guy that night, people would respect you a lot more.

while berto is at it... hire a new strength and conditioning coach so he doesn't gas and have to hold and clinch.

for real though... the last half of the fight was berto holding on for dear life.

            **** berto!!!! glad he lost....

            BOOTY TIME!!!

Now onto, Ortiz, he not only proved his mental strength/fortitude, but he made Berto question his own from round one and that my friends is called redemption.

Berto is not a "BUM" fighter... He just got Exposed for being "Over-rated" by HBO and DiBella?! I think he should fight Eric Morales next though?!

Great Boxing To Be Had WITHOUT The Mayweather Clan!

You'll never find Runaway Floyd in a war like this; he might get hurt. So many match-ups to have in this division. So lets quit talking about that clan. Tim Bradly and Devon Alexander aren't quite in that mix, but the likes of Pacquiao, Cotto, Margarito, Maidana, Khan, Ortiz, Berto, Mosley, Marquez, and even Morales again... there's great Boxing action to be enjoyed. NONE of those guys are claiming another is on steroids. NONE of them are afraid to sign on the dotted line, win, lose, or draw. They are all willing to fight the best of the best. They all want a shot at Pacquiao. Runaway Floyd is nowhere to be found, except on the verge of going to jail. Hence I don't care if I ever see Runaway Floyd in the ring again or not.

I thought so too. Reminded me of those crazy rounds you see. Course, Jose Luis Castillo vs. Diego Corrales is single best round ever. Knockdowns plus TKO stoppage.

Ortiz was not as out on his feet as everyone was thinking. Berto landed some hard shots on him after the knockdown and he didn't lose his legs. There was some trouble, but he handled it pretty well.
