I think the fight was stopped too early, the ref did a disservice by stopping the fight when he did.
I don't think its a coincidence that the commentator at ring side was screaming "he could stop the fight at any moment", and the ref stopped the fight a few seconds later. I'm not saying the fight was fixed, what i'm saying is that the commentator put it in the refs head.

Salido was in Puerto Rico. No way did he have any leverage or influence on anything pertaining to the fight. If anything he was there to be made an example of by Lopez. We already see how the judges was trying to robb him. I think the ref just felt like Lopez had nothing left.

I'm not saying that Salido externally influenced the fight or that he was Showtime's horse. What i'm saying is that the ref may have become more alarmed when he heard the commentator shout "the fight could be stopped at any time", and it led to the strange stoppage.

I could be completely off my rocker, just something that popped into my head.

JuanMa just doesn't have the goods... He is a good puncher but will never be great because he sucks at boxing, his punches reach out as if trying to tap his opponent on the shoulder and ask him a question, and his chin is just too fckin easy to rattle. Yes he has heart, and is known to sleepwalk for an entire round... but it ain't enough to be consistent as a champ for more than a few fights at a time. The Mtgawa fight exposed him...the Salido Nandrolone fight just crushed him. At best, he is simply too weak at 126? And will gain a jaw from moving up to 130? But that remains to be seen.

He got owned last night and maybe, the Nandrolone Nacho is guilty of his use of Steroids in the past, and perhaps in the present but we'll never know. These guys know how to cycle on this shyt and not get caught.

First off props to Salido for a great victory and for exposing what many of us were thinking for a while now.

Second I am glad that this happened, we dont need some arrogant self proclaimed "most famous", no defense having fighter trying to be the face of PR boxing.
Like a previous poster said, Juanma should have never been mentioned to be next in line with the likes of Gomez, Trinidad, Cotto ect.

And we thought that Juanma was a technical boxer, better than Gamboa in terms of boxing ability?? Naw man we are some fools on here believing the hype just like Juanma and all of his fans. I thought that he would KO Salido--I was wrong.

Tonight I became a fan of Ortiz and gained respect for Salido.

Congradulations to the fighters and to Mexico.

                      Golden Boy KO5 Top Stank

This is a clear cut victory for Golden Boy Promotions since their star Victor Ortiz shocked the world last night and Top Rank's star got turded up by a nobody. This is clear evidence that GBP is the leading promotional company and Top Stank is nothing but a stable of losers all being supported by the success of Manny Pacquiao who actually left Top Stank for GPB and is only with Top Stank as a sentence in the court battle he lost.
