im not surprised at all, juanma cant take a punch,he's been knocked down several times and stunned a lot of times, you can tell by his expressions after he gets hit that he can't take it,and let me say salido isn't a big puncher either,a guy with a good punch and juanma wouldn't have gotten up,he looked so much bigger than salido and salido still put him on his back,i do think the stoppage was bad but juanma was already looking awful,he never got back after he was knocked down, everytime salido would land juanma would retreat and his punches didn't look as strong anymore.....after this fight i'm 100 percent sure gamboa would absolutely destroy juanma,he's faster and stronger than salido, arum will never, never put lopez in with gamboa after tonight, even if juanma would of won,he got rocked badly, that there is enough for lopez to stay away from gamboa

JuanMa is damn lucky the 5th round ended after the knockdown cause he would have been slaughtered like a lamb if it had been early in the round. Gamboa would have torched JuanMa inside of 2 rounds. Too eay to hit and too slow. Cotto can smile after the BS JuanMa said about being more popular than him.

The greatest joy will be seeing Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. get torched some day. Anyone who supports ****fighting needs their fking head examined!!! Some people are fking sick!

I have never like Juanma but I just caught the replay of this fight and I must say that WAS NOT A GOOD STOPPAGE... You can't stop a fight when the fighter is still throwing and landing punches in the exchange, the **** was that ref thinking

wwasn't a good stoppage but he was going to get stopped, juanma was punching back but his punches werent' strong anymore, everytime salido landed juanma would retreat and look hurt,he looked tired, salido actually looked pretty fresh, good thing that wasn't gamboa in there, man he would ko juanma easily

Wow! This was a tense fight but Salido pulled it off. The writing was on the wall for Juanma and it happened tonight. I always had a feeling Gamboa would be too much for him and tonight I'm convinced he will get KO'd if they meet. Looking forward to Salido's next fight!!

Kind of ironic really.JuanMa won vs Rafael Marquez in his last fight when Marquez quit after the 8th then wanted to badmouth Marquez about his heart. Now JuanMa gets tko'd in the 8th round by a journeyman.JuanMa has been way overhyped and it went to his head.He got a free ride on the James Kirkland I'm Somebody Special A-Train Express to the city of Oh No!My 0 Is Gone

The fact of the matter is that Lopez has ZERO defense. The guys head is wide open for punches all day long and hes a very slow puncher. All he has is punching power with some heart but thats about it. It was only a matter of time before someone was gonna KO him. But on a side note right from the start of the fight he really looked like he didn't have any desire to win.
