The sport is boxing. You're literally in the ring to try to beat the living crap out of your opponent. Why do people get all mad when there's one fighter trash talking to hype the fight, hype himself, or to intimidate his opponent?

Example:

Fighter A: "That ***** is a ****in' bum and I'm going to knock him out in 1 round, and I'm going to enjoy beating him while his family watches."

Fighter B: "He's a great champ and it's going to be an honor sharing the ring with him."

Fans: WTF MAN!? Fighter A has no respect. I hope he loses, I hope that he dies in the ring for having no respect.

That right there is funny to me, because here you have two guys punching each other in the head to score points or to knock the other one out...that part doesn't bother you, but a little name calling does.

You know your right to an extent but what about sportsmanship?I think hyping a fight is fine but two fighters in such a brutal sport should have alot of respect for each other since they both know how hard they train and fight when in the ring.Either way trash talk does not particularly bother me what does is some football player who makes a TD or a good play and goes nuts.......That is his ****ing job yeah get happy for a minute but act like you have been there before,It is like a father braggin that he takes care of his kids.....What you want a ****ing medal that is what you are supposed to do.

When it comes to trash talking to try to sell the fight, the bottom line is some fights can't just sell themselves and even the ones that can, will do much better if you can add a bad guy/good guy element and make someone look like the villain.
