One or both will lose before then. Should have the fight sooner rather than later.

Gamboa says that his top rank contract is expiring very soon, rumor says in june

Basically Arum is saying that both will be matched up soft in the mean time. Just do the fight right now if it's good than do a damn rematch. Corrales-Castillo first fight sold a few tickets then the rematch was a sellout.

If juanma and gamboa wanna get paid as much as possible,Thats fine
at least have it where fans will support it,Especially on that special holiday
          for the ricans.

If the fight is going to be in Vegas why wait until June of next year? I thought the whole purpose of doing it then was to do it in NY or Jersey on the eve of the PR parade.

Vegas makes financial sense, New York is common sense, and Florida is where both financial and common sense meet and the fight should take place. Bob Arum is a rich old greedy J*@Mu@aFu@k*R that doesnt give a **** a$$ what fans or his fighters want.

Boxing has always been this way. They wait so the fight can build and draw as much interest as possible

im almost certain arum is releasing this statement as a way to holding on to gamboa who's contract with top rank is expiring and who seems frustrated with not getting the fights he wants. the whole 130 thing i dont get. if anything, thats a better weight for juanma...not so much gamboa. hes the smaller guy.

2013 is a long time from now for these guys to be toiling fighting bums not worthy of their time. overall, i think this is disappointing.
